Gel for a crunchy curl

I've always used ecogel but it doesn't nothing now. I would like a product that gives me a very crispy, crunchy curl that I can then scrunch out. Any recommendations please?

Is it possible your usual gel is no longer working because of moisture products building up? I've had that issue, a clarifying and/or chelating wash clears that up.

Get Snot from Amazon , absolutely fabulous. Small amount in soaking wet hair. Mine loves it.

Interestingly my gel has stopped working. I was wondering if I was over moisturising it. Saying that, I have very dry and frizzy hair and atm, it really has tamed and although the curl doesn't last, it looks better! More waves. Wondering if I should do a protein shampoo/conditioner.

I use the cantu curl custard, or the Umberto Gianni one mentioned upthread.

Traditional shampoo with SLS or similar, you should ideally do it once a month or so to avoid product build up and scalp issues with the CGM. Some people manage fine without it but if you're prone to build up probably best to incorporate it into your routine. You might want to combine it with a deep conditioner.

Thanks, I use shampoo anyway I don't do the curly girl method.
