Been using a grey blender (grey defy shampoo) on my hair and I can’t decide what the colour looks like… (pic)

i’ve been using the grey defy shampoo on my greying hair (section in the pic would be completely grey - I have like big chunks of grey but most of my hair is still brown, if that makes sense).

I can’t decide if it looks awful or better.

I don’t like the grey hair, but I like dyeing it every two weeks less, so this shampoo felt like a good compromise. But still don’t love it.

Opinion? Or advice?

I've been using a colouring conditioner called Leganza. You can buy on Amazon, loads of shades. I'm allergic to hair dye and this has been a revelation. Completely covered my grey. I use it every couple of weeks and leave for a hour. It lasts very well but I do only wash my hair 2/3 times a week. Also Bleach London Instant Coffee is very good.

Can I ask: do you have grey hair that it covers up? I was reading the reviews from blondes who said it turned their hair green! So now unsure as to whether it’ll work on grey streaks.

I have a big white streak at the front but then not much elsewhere, so I focus using it on that area. Having said that, I don’t want it to look ‘covered’ but more toned in and like a deliberate highlight instead of a mad badger stripe!

I was really cautious with it at first, only using a few drops per time as I didn’t want it to look dyed, but it didn’t make much difference. Adding the maximum suggested amount definitely tones it in and makes it look more like a caramel highlight. It’s not hyper obvious but I think it just makes my hair look better in an undefinable can’t-quite-say-what’s-different-but-it-looks-good way. Sorry if that’s really vague!

They do all kinds of colours - blues, purples and pinks - so I suspect some of the comments online will be about the more unusual colours?
