Living Proof Triple Bond Complex

Does anyone have any feedback on Triple Bond Complex after extended use? I found a thread from back in January when the product was fairly new but nothing else since (that I’m aware of).

My individual hair strands aren’t in bad condition but post-Covid my hair is just so, so fine and lacks any sort of general healthy look. Does anyone know if it might help with that or if it’s more for damaged strands?

I thought I had fine, lank hair pre-Covid but now I’d almost kill for hair that “thick”.

Not extended use but I got it in the m and s beauty bag and so far it has honestly been the best thing I've ever tried. My hair is thin, dry and damaged from colouring and perimenopause. It is so glossy now and soft and actually looks decent. I've tried olaplex (complete disaster) argan oil (ok) elasticizer (good) and various aveda leave in or wash out things. Watching with interest for long term perspectives...

Definitely has that thick look...

I came across an advert for this the other day, and then looked up reviews, which all looked very good - tipped to be the latest and greatest thing in hair care.

I considered it, but one thing I don't have a problem with is thickness/volume! Dryness, straw-like frizz, yes. But lots of it.

They also have a 5-in-1 cream that I was thinking about, and a whole raft of anti-frizz potions that might be good. Champo has also come up in the same sorts of reviews, in particular their 10-in-1 cream. But I'm again not sure if that is for already thick hair.

I haven’t tried the triple bond complex but just popping on to say that Next currently have two living proof beauty boxes in stock - one of them has the full size triple bond complex in it along with some other stuff (including a full size of their fab dry shampoo!!) for £40. Seems a fab deal because I believe the triple bond complex is usually around that price on its own. I’ve just bought one so I can try this out!

Thank you so much for the tip. That box is amazing value.

I can’t get enough of the dry shampoo.

@Ducksinthebath same here - I always thought I hated dry shampoo til I tried that one! Hopefully the other products are just as good 😊

hellololabells2019 · 08/08/2023 21:08

@Squishmymallow thanks so much re the beauty box. Have purchased.

My hairdresser thinks my hair condition (bleached, straightened) has improved since using the triple bond complex.

MsDastardley · 08/08/2023 21:12

Thanks for that BrunchBunch I’ve just ordered

ivd been using the Triple Bond for a few months now. Whilst I don’t thinks it’s a miracle cream, it definitely does help improve the look of my fluffy hair. I haven’t noticed any difference in thickness though.

Someone said my hair looked nice the other day, which hasn’t happened for a while

@Squishmymallow thank you! Always on the look out for Living Proof deals.

Ducksinthebath · 09/08/2023 18:34

My box just arrived and I hadn’t realised the dry shampoo was full sized too. That’s just under £69 of product I’d be buying anyway for £40 (plus I quite like the other bits already too) so I really do owe you one!

Glad to be of help! 😊

BrunchBunch · 09/08/2023 20:19

Has anyone tried any of their anti-frizz products? They also have a box for those, but it's not particularly the ones I wanted, so I think I'd be better off buying a couple of them individually. Not read much on the reviews for those, though.

MsDastardley · 11/08/2023 13:00

I got my box on Wednesday. I already knew I liked the Triple Bond, but interested to try the rest out. I was underwhelmed with the dry shampoo, it was ok but no better than Pantene Day 2 IMO. The texturising/volume spray is really good if you use that sort of thing, so will be handy to have just in case.

I washed my hair with the Perfect Hair Day shampoo and conditioner this morning, then used a tiny bit of Triple Bond. I am amazed, my hair is the nicest it has been for a long time, looks like I have had a salon blow dry. Hopefully this isn't a one hit wonder, and it looks as good next time.

I'm going to buy the less frizz box now and see how I get on with that.

BrunchBunch · 11/08/2023 14:04

oh I'll be interested to hear what works. It's the frizz stuff that I;m interested in, though the Triple Bond sounds intriguing as so many people have had good results. Even with thick hair, maybe it would help me.
Did you blow dry after it or air dry/style etc? Do you think you have to use their shampoo and conditioner to really get the best results?

Squishmymallow · 11/08/2023 19:46

I’ve just been looking at the no frizz box as well and it looks like it might be worth a try. I’ve also now noticed that it is 3 for 2 on all living proof at Next - including these beauty boxes! So I could get three of the boxes for £80!! Even better value…but do I need another 3?! Answers on a postcard 😂

MsDastardley · 26/08/2023 14:15

Just wanted to update that I bought the no frizz shampoo. It was nice enough but nothing special. My hair wasn’t as nice as when I used good hair day. I would recommend this though https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/hairburst-shampoo-x-350ml-conditioner-x-350ml-set-60049389 which I’ve used a couple of times this week. I used with Triple Bond today and my hair is looking very nice 😊. I’ve bought another two packs today as it’s a good price.

My hair is fine textured but plenty of it. It’s been looking a bit pouffy lately, but I can see an improvement. But I do think that unless you’re blessed with great hair, it’s always going to be an uphill battle
