just that really, recommend me brands that are good but don't cost a fortune. if i had the money I'd love REN or Elemis but no such luck lol

my skin is all over the place ATM ( pregnancy hormones) dry forehead fine everywhere else with the occasional spot.

I've literally got nothing left ATM so i need
: eye cream
day moisturiser
night moisturiser
got some habo lab hyaluronic acid left.

Cerave

biedrona · 08/08/2023 16:19

La Roche Posay. And you really do not need a separate eye cream. You do need an SPF over the moisturiser

whatamess100 · 08/08/2023 16:22

I should add I'm 38 and got lines esp under eyes.

I've seen cerave but never thought to try it

Aldi Lacura

Squirrelsnut · 08/08/2023 16:24

I've recently tried the Body Shop Edelweiss products and they were very good.
Boots No7 is mid-price and highly regarded.
The Ordinary gets a lot of praise on here.

TheFoxCatcher · 08/08/2023 16:24

Avene. Lovely and gentle and something for all skin types.

BruceAndNosh · 08/08/2023 16:24

Cerave. If you're buying a few things, Books frequently do 3for2 on cerave.

CuntRYMusicStar · 08/08/2023 16:25

The inkey list stuff is affordable and really good quality. I use their dewy sunblock, the peptide moisturiser and loads of other bits - I pick them up when I get offers through. If you sign up to texts and emails you quite frequently get codes sent through.

maidmarianne · 08/08/2023 18:34

Inkey list and the ordinary are both very reasonable. Q and a are nice too and more similar to ren or Elemis. They have a limited range in Sainsbury’s that's sometimes on offer.
I would add in a facial oil if I were you. Though the only inkey list product I don't like is their rose hip oil, it always smells off.
Superdrug also do their own range of separate actives and boots ingredients too, though is more limited. The boots bakuchiol serum is amazing, but not sure is ok in pregnancy.

I love Curel

I used Dermalogica for 25 years. Now use Cerave. Absolutely no difference in my skin...I'm mid 60s

Grapewrath · 08/08/2023 19:15

Facetheory! So good, vegan and reasonable. My skin is 100% better from using it.

CinnamonSweet73 · 08/08/2023 20:13

Versed. Byoma.

GEC44 · 08/08/2023 20:17

M&S Pure. I've tried several other cruelty free brands but this is the one I keep going back to, especially for the day and night creams.

Upcircle is worth a look, especially the undereye cream and face serum.

Aldi also has a range of really good quality skincare under their Lacura brand.

mishmased · 08/08/2023 20:26

Nourish London is a very good brand and affordable.

Mummy2022FT · 08/08/2023 20:27

Lacura from Aldi. So so good.

toastfiend · 08/08/2023 20:28

La Roche Posay have a massive range, all really good quality and very reasonably priced (Boots generally have them on 3 for 2 as well).

Also second the recommendation for M&S Pure.

AlrightJulia · 08/08/2023 20:29

Lidl or Aldi! I have day cream, night cream etc from both. Never had such lovely skin Grin

whatamess100 · 08/08/2023 20:34

Oooh which range is aldi is best?

Mummy2022FT · 08/08/2023 20:38

@whatamess100

you must try the Caviar cream from Aldi. (I use the day one and the night one) I believe they're £7.99 each. They are AMAZING! Trust me on this one!

Gherkingreen · 08/08/2023 20:54

Cerave is great, and Superdrug do their own version in v similar packaging, I can't tell the difference between the two products.
I really like Aldi's range (will find link, not the Caviar one above)
The Ordinary is also a great place to find reasonably priced skincare.

Gherkingreen · 08/08/2023 20:56

It's Lacura Rejuvenate (lol at made up words) - the day and night cream are excellent

Missingmyusername · 08/08/2023 21:00

A good spf, plenty of water. I love Liz Earle cleanse and polish, you only need a small amount. Aldi do a nice vit c eye cream.
I’ve used a ton of pricey stuff over the years, my skin got better when I stopped using so much.

Nuffaluff · 08/08/2023 21:25

I second M and S Pure. Very good value.
I particularly love the cleansing balm which has a lovely texture and rose scent. Only £12.
