just that really, recommend me brands that are good but don't cost a fortune. if i had the money I'd love REN or Elemis but no such luck lol

my skin is all over the place ATM ( pregnancy hormones) dry forehead fine everywhere else with the occasional spot.

I've literally got nothing left ATM so i need
: eye cream
day moisturiser
night moisturiser
got some habo lab hyaluronic acid left.

Aldi. 100%. IMO it's better than Elemis pro-collagen creams. And it's £1.45!!!

I use the Q10 night cream and my skin feels more moisturised than others.

Nuffaluff · 08/08/2023 21:30

I would also say have a look in TKMaxx. You can buy some expensive skincare in there really cheaply.
Plus it’s fun to have a root around.
I saw a Liz Earle set in Windsor that included full sizes of cleanser, moisturiser, body wash, body lotion and I think make up remover. £40!

Spottybluepyjamas · 08/08/2023 21:31

Pai is excellent, la Roche posay, and dermatologica for tret

Nuffaluff · 08/08/2023 21:33

Holland and Barrett has some interesting skincare ranges too. I like Sukin which has a Neal’s Yard vibe about it (can often pick that up cheaply in TKMaxx too).

MichaelAndEagle · 08/08/2023 21:35

Nivea creme in the blue tub. Love it, its all I ever use.

SiobahnRoy · 08/08/2023 21:36

Q&A range at Holland and Barrett is fab

HaveYouHeardOfARoadAtlas · 08/08/2023 21:40

Definitely Cerave, it’s often recommended by dermatology types.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/08/2023 21:45

M&S Formula , I'm using the grey one at the moment .
And some Alpha H eyecream in a squeezy tube with little metal rollerballs /
Alpka H Liquid Gold (bought from QVC on special offer )

bryceQ · 08/08/2023 21:57

I know cerave gets a lot of love on here but I don't rate it personally.

I think La Roche has great ranges.

The korean sites are excellent yesstyle and stylevana - the beauty of joesson Spf is brilliant and the Illiyoon ceramide cream are frequent repurchases of mine. Cleanser wise I love any of the korean oils like Klairs. But I am on the dry side and use Tretinoin so I'm all about locking in hydration and dewy skin.

NancyJoan · 08/08/2023 22:01

I like the Sali Hughes x Revolution stuff. The cleaners and the heavy cream. There is a lighter moisturiser, but I need more heft to my face lard.

stayathomer · 08/08/2023 22:03

Cerave eye cream blows everything else out of the water for me! Avene moisturiser, Roche posay spf. I use Aimee Connolly primer (more pricey- 25 euro). I use my avene for night too (skin recovery cream) Oh and I live for Cetaphil gentle cleanser (the blue pump)

stayathomer · 08/08/2023 22:04

Ps boots hyaluronic acid is amazing!

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 08/08/2023 22:09

I’ve only used Cerave as face and body wash.

Go into Aldi and Lidl and if you see serums buy them, the CBD one I got is amazing but think they’ve stopped it now. I use Aldi Q10 night cream which is amazing.

Buy Rosehip oil online good for dull skin.

Aoart from La Roche Posay spf be never really used their other creams or Avene, some of them are very rich.

Don’t forget Nuxe, Caudalie and Vichy. My French friend who lives here swears by them especially the Vinoper range.

gingerbubs · 08/08/2023 22:15

I love cerave. I found as I've got older (currently 40ish) things that used to suit my skin now irritate it but I've changed to cerave and find it calming and effective. I use the hyaluronic serum, eye cream and the day and night moisturisers. Haven't tried their cleansers yet.

Roundaboot · 08/08/2023 22:18

GEC44 · 08/08/2023 20:17

M&S Pure. I've tried several other cruelty free brands but this is the one I keep going back to, especially for the day and night creams.

Upcircle is worth a look, especially the undereye cream and face serum.

Aldi also has a range of really good quality skincare under their Lacura brand.

Hello, are you me?! I was just about to recommend both UpCircle and Pure.
My skin is sensitive and prome to eczema but none of these products irritate at all. The UpCircle serum (which is more like a facial oil really) is a hero product for me - I really notice if I stop using it as my skin looks noticeably brighter when I do.

NorthernSoul55 · 08/08/2023 22:37

Gherkingreen · 08/08/2023 20:56

It's Lacura Rejuvenate (lol at made up words) - the day and night cream are excellent

I've had problems with Aldis skincare stuff previously (sore, streaming eyes) but I love this and have had no reaction to it. I think it's Rejuvelate?? Whatever that means! I buy it with my shopping every week so that I am stocked up for when Aldi stop selling it...

ThePoshUns · 08/08/2023 22:39

Upcircle eye cream is the best. I am 51 and it's worked wonders on my dark circles.
Love the Q&A range especially the facial oils for over night

GEC44 · 08/08/2023 23:24

Forgot to mention e.l.f also do skincare! Haven't yet tried it, but looks good.

Gherkingreen · 09/08/2023 09:12

@NorthernSoul55 yeah Rejuvelate - it auto-corrected first time! It's in exactly the same packaging as a L'Oréal product, which makes my eyes sting/water but the Aldi one is brilliant, no reaction at all. Day and night cream both definitely worth stocking up on.

Serenity45 · 09/08/2023 12:37

Another vote for Cerave - I'm mid 40s with dry sensitive perimenopausal skin and this is soothing and effective. I use the hydrating cleanser as I like a rinse-off formula. Moisturiser is also great, though I do like to use a facial oil underneath 2 to 3 times a week for a bit 'extra' (not budget I'm afraid, Elemis or Decleor as I haven't found anything nicer)

Funny you should both mention about Upcircle eye serum, I used the caffeine under eye one the other day and was pleasantly surprised!

Their other serum is a bit strong for me, but the soaps and body scrubs are great.

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 10/08/2023 09:35

Cerave for cleanser and basic moisturizer
Avene for SPF
The Ordinary for actives (serum and acids)

Nitgel · 10/08/2023 09:40

Elemis do lots of offers on QVC look out especially for a TSV offer. I only buy from QVC and you can pay in installments.

fatimashortbread · 24/08/2023 20:17

Nuxe - you can buy online and in M&S

Litgirl7 · 24/08/2023 20:31

I can only echo what others have advised- Inkey is unbelievably effective & good value. Plain packaging & often strange scent(chemical) but it's highly effective & recommended by many beauty writers/commentators. They also offer sound advice.
