Exactly this, I'm a guest at a wedding with a colour theme of dark and sage green and dark orange.
My ideal look would be a velvet Vampires Wife Dress , but I do not have the funds , have considered renting one but not sure what it would even look like on my short size 16 self
Can anyone spam me with options? I'm rubbish at shoes so any help with what type would match what outfits would also be good. Would also be happy to go down the velvet suit look or something with sequins . Can anyone help?

BTW Vampire’s Wife clothes go up to a size 18, so are clearly intended to look good on a size 16 body. But they’re awfully popular, so there’s always a risk of someone else turning up in the same one.

Have you had a look on Vinted? I quite often get occasion dresses from there as quite often people have only worn them a few times so good condition and prices much much cheaper than brand new.

Green and orange together? May not be your style, but could be wonderfully stylish with considered grooming and Autumnal accessories.

(Might need shortening, or not. I’m 5.3 and have never worn petite clothes - it’s never occurred to me and I like an unlimited choice. I sometimes have longer dresses altered, but the vast majority of clothes, including trousers, fit me unproblematically. Possibly I automatically avoid stuff that has completely wrong proportions.)

Yeah with the height thing I was more thinking that the Vampires Wife styles are always modelled on tall willow women where I am shorter and curvier
