Help with yoga clothes which aren’t leggings!!

I usually do YWA on YouTube in my lounge wearing either my pjs (cuffed, low crotch) & a T-shirt. When I’m hot I’m in my sports bra.

I’ve just joined my first in person yoga class. I can’t wear anything tight at the crotch (eg. Leggings) & I need flexibility to be able to take off/put on top layers. I think I need some form of harem trousers? No idea on top.

Any recommendations? Thank you!

Lightweight cuffed joggers - M&S usually have them.
Just wear what you normally wear on top.

Next tapered leggings £22 - I live in them, lots of different designs and colours. For me, they are the perfect yoga pants because they aren't tight but not baggy, so great for all postures.

Next and Sainsbury Tu range for sports tops, which are loose not bagging and you can tuck them into the waistband of your leggings for inversions like downdog, forward fold and vinyasa flow. Nice and loose for freedom of movement. I tend to size down for yoga so they don't flop around when you're moving.

Try Sweaty Betty Gary yoga pants. They come in 2 lengths, I prefer the crops. £££ but you can normally pick them up on eBay for less.

Harem pants from forgotten tribes are fab, pair with a vest and something over the top if you like layers

Tartopommes · 08/08/2023 16:43

@Hoppinggreen I've got them in 2 different shades of blue! They used to come in all kinds of lovely colours (before the fabric changed, I think) - wish I'd stocked up at the time!

Have a look at Boho Tusk harem pants.

I second this recommendation although I'd describe them as joggers rather than leggings. I have a couple of pairs that I wear for yoga and they are very soft and comfortable. You really don't need to splash out on sweaty betty or similar.
