Autumn/winter boots

I'm looking for some recommendations for boots for the autumn/winter. Preferably tan/brown. I need them to be water proof and suitable for wearing every day. Mostly to be worn with jeans or tights and a dress/skirt.
I currently have some timberlands but there are too bulky to wear every day. And I have Dr Martens Chelsea boots in black. I've considered just getting these in brown. But I'm wondering if something what comes up a bit higher would be better? Also I have very skinny ankles so this can sometimes be a problem.
Budget is up to £100 I could maybe stretch to £120 if perfect and would last

Thought some stylish people might be able to help. I've never spent this much on any one item. (The dr martens were a gift).

I think if you like the chelseas you already have then get the same but in brown, as you mentioned. They'll last a really long time.

I have these - Nightjar by Moshulu - soft leather, lots of colours, thick soles, & come up mid-calf so a bit more protection on your legs.
