Second hand gold

I would like to get a pair of yellow gold chunky small hoops, and thought that second hand would be the best bargain. Does anyone have recommendations for reliable online second hand jewelry?

Not for online but I would recommend looking at those shops in markets where they buy and resell second hand jewellery.

Don't sell your gold online. Go to a reputable local independent jeweller and they will probably buy it off you, if not give you contacts who will.

Thanks, but with the hours I am working at the moment, it would have to be online as I'm not free when the local shops are open.

Mallard jewellers are excellent. I've bought several second hand gold items from them. They are pawn brokers and get some excellent stuff.

Then ring or email a local jewellers instead. They can arrange to collect it or you can send it to them. You won't get a good price selling gold online.

I thought the OP was buying earrings not selling gold?

oops posted to soon, if you could carve out some time seek out local independent jewellers, they usually have a good selection of second hand jewellery, if you are any where near south east London I can recommend a couple.

Look at Easy Live Auctions.
They host sales for 00s of auction houses and all catalogues on there will have descriptions, weights, estimates and pictures.
