Are you meant to feel a thong between your bum cheeks?

Trying to be more sexy

Most of my friends are avid thong wearers. I wish I was; but I'm not.

When I try to wear one, it's like my bum cheeks are trying to swallow the piece of string. I'm constantly un-picking myself.

Surely women don't walk around feeling this uncomfortable?

What's going wrong for me?

I only wear thongs. I have a big bum and find them so much more comfortable then big knickers. Absolutely not doing it to be sexy! However the trick really is to size up at least 1 size!

Me too and I am the queen of comfort. I always found with normal knickers I was constantly picking them out of my arse (rather large bottom). I only wear M&S microfibre thongs and don't know I am wearing them, I always size up.

Don't thongs give you UTI.... and if I sized up one or TWO (?!) sizes up it will just fall down. I am realistic about my knickers size thank you very much, sizing up by 2 sizes shows how uncomfortable they are. The secret is just not to wear an unhygienic, trashy, porn inspired torture devices.

Worn them every single day for over 20 years and never had a UTI. I wear them because they are comfy not for due to being trashy or inspired by porn!

Yes! I was still at school last time I wore a thong. They went out of fashion decades ago. I didn't think that anyone, other than perhaps the odd porn star, wore them these days!

Try wearing g-string because less material going up your cheeks I wear thong or g-string all the time

I reckon women with flatter slimmer bums feel fine with thongs, I have seen women in thongs and they don't rest in the crack, they are fully hidden inside unless the woman has one of those slim 'short butts' if she has a curvy butt it's bound to be bum floss. I don't think it's a sizing up issue, if I'm the same size in all their knickers therefore I think it's the nature of thongs TMI alert:
I think if you have a hairy bum crack it will feel more uncomfortable, if your bum crack is all shaved or waxed thongs should feel less intrusive, I think the hair causes more friction 'carpet burn' type as you walk with a thong twisting the hairs and irritating the skin. In any event, I think thongs look gross and are unhygienic.

The transition from a granny pant to a thong requires a period of adjustment I feel. I always wore thongs until a gynae procedure and then the eventual move back took time to feel comfy again so I think if you’ve not been an avid thong wearer from the start give yourself time. I also size up 1-2 sizes.

Never had a UTI from a thong in my life. Also don't size up. How exactly are they unhygienic?

They're not porn inspired torture devices either. Many millions of women have no issues with them
