Did anyone else fall for this perfume review?

Got this email from Mumsnet SwearsBy, they mentioned this cheap but apparently gorgeous perfume.

£4 off Amazon, why not try it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ll tell you why not! I put the tiniest bit on my wrist to try it, two wrist scrubs and a bath soak later and the stench is still on me. DH walked in to the room and asked ‘Urgh what’s that smell?’ ‘What smell?’ Says I. ‘Smells like inside a Grandma’s handbag’

Haha, yes I fell for this too! Not absolutely terrible, but my god, it’s so strong! I could smell it for hours and I only put a tiny dab on. Smells too much like commercial air freshener to me.

I ordered the baby powder one last year as I do love the smell of baby powder 😂 It was vile and the smell was a nightmare to wash off!

Also agree it does smell dirty 🤢

I haven’t bought a mumsnet perfume recommendation since Molecule 01. Everyone raved about it. I bought a sample. It smelt like a musty old scout hut.

ah yes, forgot about molecule 01. I also fell for that based on mumsnet recommendation based on mumsnetters getting stopped to be asked about their divine smell. It just smelled like chemicals on me.

I bought it on a and b recommendation - not great at all

I couldn't cancel my order with Amazon as it had already been despatched. I completed a return request which the seller accepted but the return label has no return address on it, it is completely blank! They are absolute shysters. I can't see any way to report this to Amazon. Has anyone got any ideas?

I don't understand why anyone would every buy a perfume they haven't tried on themselves first.

I sometimes (too often) encounter women wearing a perfume that smells (to me) like flyspray <not envy .

I am so tempted to ask them "Oh what;s that scent you're wearing" so I know (I don't actually wear perfume myself but I'd like to know )

I have many of these but not that scent, I get never-ending compl when i wear them! In particular the Alien, Alien Flora, pomegranate noir and the Pink sugar dupe (girl came up to me saying omg you smell like freshly baked cake!)

They let me swap one when I didn't like it too :)

I bought Molecule 01 too having seen it recommended on Mumsnet.
OMG it smelled like flyspray on me.
I gave it away in the end.

I did ask someone passing by what perfume she was wearing recently as it was so lovely.
It was Molecule 04.

Maybe I'll see if they'll let me swap this one, I love Pomegranate Noir so a dupe of that would be nice.

I'm not allergic or sensitive to anything, but this has made my neck sore and itchy!!

@Gridhopper very kindly sent me her perfume as I thought I might like it and she didn't! It arrived today and I'm clearly in the very small minority as I really like it! It's very like Avon Soft Musk which I love, but a stronger version.

I thought it dried down to something quite lovely. I could actually smell a hint of something similar to Pomegranate Noir. I'll definitely try other scents.

OMG I fell for it too! I ordered the baby powder one and some other one and rolled one one each wrist. I couldn't concentrate on my work as they smelled so strong they made my nostrils hurt. I scrubbed my wrists, which made no difference and then in desperation wiped them with surgical spirits and could still smell the bloody stuff! Unwearable.
