Where’s best for tailored trousers?

I’m trying to update my work wardrobe and want a few pairs of smart/tailored trousers, preferably in colours other than black. Im not too set on style (can be slim, cigarette, wide leg etc.) but I’d like them to be high waisted.

I really like the look of these Mint Velvet ones but not sure if £89 is excessive. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I bought these trousers in Feb-22 after seeing them on a fashion instagramer and fully expected to send them back since they are £75 which is far more than I had ever spent on trousers. But I really liked the shade of brown and the fit on me was perfect so I kept them.

Fast forward 18 months and they are one of my best purchases ever - I love the fit, I love the colour, I can wear them casually with a t shirt/jumper, in the evening with a fitted body, or look more corporate, and they also work in all seasons. The price per wear must be in the pennies. So while I can't comment if the specific trousers you linked are worth the money (I do think they look nice!) I think it can be worth spending a little more on trousers that really feel right for you.

I’m onto my 3rd pair of these - wash well, very comfortable, slight stretch and fit nicely.
