Skincare for dummies

I'm 36 now, used moisturizer with SPF since my early 20s, plus daily cleanser/foam wash before bed every night, but that's it. Feel like my skin is now needing something more- it's definitely reacting more to sun and I have fine lines developing. Not sure whether to go for something like dermatica or similar, or something else OTC? Don't want anything complicated or high maintenance as I know I won't stick to it.

Would appreciate any advice or recommendations please 😊

SPF 50 every day, winter and summer, separate from any moisturizer or makeup.

A vitamin C serum in the morning. The Sali Hughes one for Revolution is a nice, cheap, entry grade, non irritating one.

A retinoid at night. You need to start on an entry grade of around 0.3% retinol. Most creams etc that don't specify their % contain that. The Inkey List and the Ordinary do cheap ones.

Start both of the above slowly, a couple of times a week.

Cleanse morning and night with whatever you like. Goes down the plughole in 30 seconds after all!

The 3 things above will make the biggest difference.
