What is your go-to evening bag/backpack?

I have given up the handbag(s) for backpack for daytime whether its work or travel etc as can fit plenty and be hands free (laptop, lunch, bottle and other bits).

For an evening out, need far fewer items - phone, keys and a lipstick! Currently a cross body bag wearer but need something newer, fresher. Perhaps a tiny black backpack? Any suggestions? For going out for dinner/drinks etc.

I prefer a cross body/sling/bumbag for evening as often prefer to have it on my lap when I'm sat in a bar and find it less faff on my clothes than a backpack (I'm a backpack woman all the way, this is just for evenings out. How the hell I ever managed with shoulder bags, God only knows, they are havoc for my posture.)

I have 3 the biggest black and white "snakeskin" with a chain strap. Then I have one, which I inherited, which is an abstract peacock tail design and finally the smallest which is a gold DKNY flap bag with a partial chain strap.

Oh didnt even consider Sling bags! Not sure if theyd suit me... I think I'd have to try a few on.

I have this Mulberry backpack that I purchased preloved for a holiday that didn't happen due to lockdown. I have used it a couple of times since and really like the quilting detail.
