Can we talk lip primers?

Once again I have had my head turned by an article in The Guardian beauty - this time about lip primers.
One recommendation was Guerlain’s kiss kiss.
It is hideously expensive and although reviews are on the whole decent I am not sure something cheaper wouldn’t work as well.
if you use a lip primer to help the longevity of your lipstick and help stop feathering can you recommend one that really works?
I want to wear more lipstick but I can’t be arsed with the constant application.
thanks 🙂

Sephora has a trasnparent lip pencil that doubles as a primer. UD has a pencil too (think it's called Ozone or something like that) which you can also use all over the lip. For fancy schmancy I like the MAC one but it's an actual lipstick so doesn't work as a liner unlike the pencil. The Sephora one's the cheapest and works just fine imho. Pencils are also better because some lipsticks bleed over time but don't need the a primer all over (like Ruby Woo would need).
Guerlain's nice but I wouldn't spend big bucks on a primer tbh.

To add: I don't use a primer to make the lipstick last longer. I use only to stop bleeding and to make it slide better and stop them from pooling in lip wrinkles over time (which isn't a very common thing and is more noticeable with brighter colours).
When it comes to longevity imho it's down to the lipstick not to the primer. Matte usually lasts longer. A very smooth lipstick is unlikely to hold longer with a primer, it'll just look better and fade better.
