Anyone found a DD+ bikini top with decent coverage?

I used my swimsuit on the beach last year but it's a bit faffy changing in and out of a swimsuit vs bikini separates.

I'd like a new bikini and I know that Bravissimo, Brastop, Pourmoi all sell bikinis for bigger busts but I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a specific bikini top (tried and tested) that is practical for swimming in and running around the beach with the DC whilst remaining decent, rather than a sexy bikini to flaunt the bigger bust iyswim...

I bought this one https://www.pourmoi.co.uk/products/space-underwired-cami-top/?source=findologic&curr=GBP a couple of weeks ago specifically for swimming and whilst it's very plain it's been perfect; I got some plain black swimming shorts on Amazon to go with and both have felt completely secure (I actually did a gentle yoga class in it one day when I forgot to pack a sports bra).

I'm a 32G if it helps, although I know everybody's shape is different. I ordered three tops in total and that was the only one which didn't feel as if they'd just tumble out of the middle as soon as I moved my arms 😳

I have M&S E cup from a couple of years ago. Fits well. Bottoms turn up or down.

ChocolateHelps · 25/07/2023 15:50

Freya Bikinis are pretty good for DD

SocksAndTheCity · 25/07/2023 15:51

These are the shorts, if it helps Smile: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00W54WGE2?

I got a couple of bra sized bikini tops from belle lingerie and then just matched them with plain bikini bottoms (mid rise ones)

TigerJoy · 25/07/2023 15:56

I'm a 36/38 E/F (depending on the brand) and I am in love with this bikini

I got the top in a 16. It's not underwired but everything feels pretty secure and it's really comfy.

M&S in general is a good bet. You can buy tops and bottoms separately which helps with sizing. They are expensive but they last for a few years without looking manky, which ends up being cheaper in the end, I think .

I have a couple of Fantasie bikinis. Get the Full Cup tops and they give good coverage and hold everything in place.

gogomoto · 25/07/2023 15:58

Mine is from bravissimo

Saisong · 25/07/2023 16:08

I tried on loads in m&s, most were rubbish at containing the larger nork. However the bandeau style were better and I did end up getting this one in size 14, which contains my 36Es very comfortably. It is a pain they only do dress sizing and not bra sizing though. https://www.marksandspencer.com/padded-square-neck-bikini-top/p/clp60581934#intid=pid_pg1pip48g2r1c1

I found I could safely swim in this bandeau style, which is most definitely not the case for lower cut/cleavage style tops.

If you’re also plus sized then New Look’s Curve range is cut generously at the top. Nice thick straps too which I appreciated.

MissRainbowBrite · 25/07/2023 16:24

I have bandeau ones from Next and one from Jasper Conrad at Debenhams and all are fab and very secure even though they have no straps. I'm a 34F and they stay put with very little rearranging throughout wearing.

whirlyhead · 25/07/2023 16:24

Bravissimo is my go to. I normally just buy a cup size larger and feel quite secure.

Tippexy · 25/07/2023 16:31

I’d check your bra size @Saisong!

declutteringmymind · 25/07/2023 16:34

I've just bought a lovely tankini and bikini from mint velvet in E cups but had to size up from my usual D cup. I too hated going to the loo in a one piece

Washyourfaceinmysink · 25/07/2023 16:40

I have this Fantasie bikini in navy:

https://www.bravissimo.com/products/ottawa-bikini-top-fs217/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4c62upeqgAMV0tLtCh1muA9mEAAYAiAAEgIwzvD_BwE

The top holds everything together well! It’s adjustable and comfortable. Comes with normal briefs or big ones (I’ve got both).

AutumnNymph · 25/07/2023 16:55

Pour moisture is obviously Pour Moi.

bonjovifan35 · 25/07/2023 16:58

Next plunge ones are amazing! I buy the roll over bottoms and can even do water parks (36g)

10HailMarys · 25/07/2023 17:35

I really liked this one in Bravissimo. Haven’t worn it on the beach yet as I don’t go on my hols until the autumn, but I have worn the top with shorts for messing about in the garden and so on. Very supportive and a lot of coverage. I’m a 34GG-H.

10HailMarys · 25/07/2023 17:39

Oh and I also tried this one on - I didn’t buy it because the colour didn’t suit me but it was very comfortable and flattering, lots of support and no chance of a tit popping out while swimming

blondiepigtails · 25/07/2023 17:46

Look for a shape that matches your normal bra shape. I'm a 30G so limited choices. I can't wear anything remotely plunge as I just fall out... My best bras are Fantasie full cup style. Have a look at Bravissimo - you can phone them for advice. A decent bikini top can be expensive - but so worth it on holiday!

Isabelle70 · 25/07/2023 18:35

I like the Freya bikini tops and always sister size so they are not as tight as my regular bra size. I get mine from eBay and maybe different sellers as long as I know the style name to get the matching set.

Favouritefruits · 25/07/2023 20:20

I got a really supportive plain black bikini top from Matalan of all places, it’s got great coverage too.

Favouritefruits · 25/07/2023 20:21

It was an F cup too
