Hello! I've heard so much about steamers recently, and the relative convenience/speed of them compared to ironing. I absolutely HATE ironing, and I have a disability which makes it hard and tiring, and am hopeful that perhaps a steamer will ease the process. My friend has one and she does love it but says that it is quite heavy to hold, and obviously that would kind of defeat the purpose for me. Has anyone got any recommendations for high-quality, but still lightweight ones? Thanks all.

I have a Cirrus 2 from The Steamery. It's brilliant. Also hate ironing with a vengeance. It's far better than the cirrus 1 but i wouldn't bother with the cirrus 3 model... You can usually get them on eBay if you wait around a bit? Just short of £100 new ATM. Very light to hold in the hand even when you have filled the little reservoir. You do have to refill quite often but heyho. I take it when travelling on business if I have to look uncrumpled.

I normally iron most things so don't use it that regularly but I have this one and I'm really pleased with it, it does a great job especially for the price!

I gave my steamer from the Steamery away. It was OK on silk dresses with minimal creases, but anything else was pretty poor. I hated it.

I hate ironing and my steamer works well on the shirts and blouses I need for work. It works on sheets as well which I just hang over a door to steam

I did a bit research and decided I didn't want a travel one so I bought this Verti Steam Pro one from Amazon which works perfectly

I think it would be too heavy for you to hold so a travel one would suit you better but I'm not sure how well they compare

You can get really fancy ones with a stand and a press etc
