Posting for inspiration I think!

I need an outfit for an early September wedding.
I'm mid twenties, tallish, and around a size 20-22, I'd say I'm a chunky hourglass shape

I've tried on quite a few dresses from Yours and Next and just felt like a kid who got into the dressing up box

I'd love to look a bit elegant, but my budget is up to about £100.

Just wondered if anyone else is a similar size, what did/will you wear?

You might have looked already but Next online have a really big selection, not just their own brand. I’m a 20 and ended up getting a mylene klass dress via Next for a wedding and got loads of compliments.
Phase Eight had some nice dresses but a bit pricey.

I got a gorgeous dress for a wedding from Simply Be. I'm a similar size to you.

Facebook have a group called Pre-loved Wedding and Occasion Outfits where folk sell on their outfits.
Sometimes (quite often) unworn, sometimes worn once and dry -cleaned.
Prices vary from about £40 up to £800 odd. Some designer, some more High Street.

Plenty of plus size
Some sell just the dress, some the whole outfit.
Even if you don't buy from there, it might give you ideas.
They seem a friendly bunch.

I wore this to a wedding - mine was in winter so paired it with black boots and a black shrug. If the weather is kinder to you then you can put it with quite a few colours.

It is very flattering on a hourglass figure and I got a size 20 (I'm 20 top and 22 bottom) which fitted beautifully.

I've got the black version of this, it is so flattering!

Any particular colour/s, pattern, sleeves? length?

@almostoverthehill any colour except sage green (bridal party) and white!
No preference on pattern, I'd like a sleeve but happy with a short one, and no shorter than just above knee length probably.

i just bought a gorgeous wedding party dress from vinted. it was immaculate and just £12. then got a £85 still
with tags coast fascinator to wear with it. £6. honestly have a look, u will find something for sure.

Try the dove dress from dancing leopard. Comes in about 20 patterns.
