I've recently started using the new skin cleanser from Lisa Eldridge and it's absolutely amazing!
I'm 70 and it's only the last few years that I've been cleansing properly and using serums etc, at the insistence of my dd 😂
Well.. this cleanser has made my old neck look years younger and my face has a glow it didn't have before. I'm not a vain person, and don't expect miracles, but I'm gobsmacked by this 😊

I’m a total convert to her lipsticks (and new velveteen lip gloss which is lush!) but £43 for a cleanser - I think I’d struggle to justify that even though it does sound amazing!

SaltnPepperHead · 25/07/2023 14:30

Hmm I'd be concerned that your serums etc wouldn't absorb as well if this leaves a oil based residue....which I guess you kind of want it to if the ingredients are that great.

Damn you OP. I’ve just been and ordered it. I got it from LEs website and there’s an offer of the cleanser and the cloths for £48 with free postage. My skin is dull, dry and definitely not glowing at any stage of cleansing or moisturising. I’ll report back. I’ve never tried any LE products but I loved her on that tv series about makeup over the centuries.

Lol!
Yes we got the free cloths too! Yes it's a lot of money, but I think it's worth it.
We don't spend our money on other things, don't drink or smoke, so I think we deserve it 😅

Would love to see before and after pics because I’m not sure how much younger you can look with just a few products.

Sugarplumfury · 25/07/2023 17:29

I’m intrigued ohsuzannah

AProlificNameChanger I’ll take a before pic and another after 2 weeks and see if there’s a noticeable difference. I’ll post them on here. I’m not at all happy with the results of the La Roche Posay products Ive been using for the last year. My skin feels clogged, greasy but also somehow dehydrated.

lindyloo57 · 25/07/2023 17:33

I too don't believe a cleanser can do anything to the face/neck it's not on the face for more then a minute don't waste your money.

clowniform · 25/07/2023 17:34

Aw, I hoped this was going to be about her new liquid lipstick. Love her makeup, have 0 interest in any 'treatment' claims for a cleanser.

LizzieSiddal · 25/07/2023 17:36

A cleanser cannot make you look younger!

Blossomtoes · 25/07/2023 17:41

A cleanser cannot make you look younger!

I wouldn’t have thought so either. It’s wiped off and goes down the drain.

Sugarplumfury · 25/07/2023 18:11

I agree on a cleaner not making anyone look younger. If it improves the greasiness/dehydration and clogged pores and my skin feels more comfortable, that'll do me .

Mercurial123 · 25/07/2023 18:40

I agree about a cleanser making you look younger, it's impossible. The best results I've had are using thr Inkey List oat balm cleanser and a Paula's Choice face wash.

CultureAlienationBoredomandDespair · 25/07/2023 19:26

I think any anti-ageing will come from your skin being more hydrated (which it’s clinically proven to do) which can smooth out fine lines and the massage which will make you look healthier. It doesn’t claim to (and can’t) make you look younger per se.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 26/07/2023 20:38

Are you Lisa’s mum op?

dontgobaconmyheart · 27/07/2023 09:19

Hydrated skin looks healthier and therefore 'younger'. I'm prone to dry skin and really like cleansers that have hydrating oils or ingredients etc in them for this reason - they helps to hydrate my skin and it therefore looks better and brighter

No need to spend mega money on a cleanser to hydrate though, if your skin needs hydration that can be added much more cheaply and effectively with the right serum, oil or cream. A cleanser is nice to have and will feel nice if your skin is dry but if anything I'd take that as a sign it is dry and you need hydration generally.

Oh I wish I was lol I'm stupidly excited about this product and wish I had taken before and after pics.
I'm 70 so obviously I don't expect miracles , but my neck in particular looks much better! 😌

My order came today and I’ve already taken my makeup off with it. I definitely feel less prune-y and my skin properly clean and hydrated. I will take a before picture in the morning (forgot to take one before first use ) and then keep going for 2 weeks and if anyone is still on here, will upload another picture. I did enjoy using it and it did take make up off very well. Although I didn’t have lots on today.

I’d be interested in what you think of it after 2 weeks op

blueshoes · 28/07/2023 21:14

How is this different from using Nivea as a make up remover?

I am clearly not Lisa Eldridge's target customer .

Sugarplumfury · 28/07/2023 21:15

I’m not off to the greatest starts with it Formerly. I watched Lisa Eldridge’s video showing how she used it. I did the same thing. My eyes felt all greasy this morning despite rinsing it off thoroughly. When I went out my eyes were watery. My skin has felt greasy today and my makeup felt oilier. Will give it a few more days and if I’m still not happy with it, I’ll contact their customer service dept. My skin definitely feels hydrated. Just sort of weighed down and a bit sticky.

MaidOfSteel · 28/07/2023 21:46

I like cleansers that you massage in and then emulsify. I've been using Medik8's lipid balance cleansing oil but I've just ordered the Lisa Eldridge cleanser and hope it'll help with even better hydration. Ta for the tip, OP.

When I watched the video I thought how greasy it looked and was amazed how quickly and thoroughly she removed it. I did wonder if it wasn’t in real time and was edited?
I love watching Lisa Eldridge but have not tried any of her products yet.

Perhaps use it as an evening cleanser only? I use (much cheaper) balm or oil cleansers on a night to remove makeup and sunscreen.

Sugarplumfury · 29/07/2023 12:18

Tattiepants. That’s what I’ve done today. Just used my usual cleanser/moisturiser this morning and will use the LE tonight.

Formerly. My skin felt ok after I’d removed it all. I thought maybe I’d not use any moisturiser after, but my skin felt it needed something. I just used a bit of my La Roche moisturiser but then my skin felt sticky and a bit uncomfortable.
