Slips under dresses!

I've found a lovely white cotton dress but it's made of the kind of material that you wear over a bikini or similar and would sure underwear. I want to wear as a dress so thought about getting a slip to go under it. What colour do I wear to make the slip (and underwear under!) invisible? Not sure if I need white or one closer to skin colour.

I usually wear a nude coloured slip, I have one that's a knee length skirt. I am not sure about white!

M&s cool comfort slips every time, they're available in white, black & nude.

I wear black or nude, and would normally wear nude or red (bizarre but it works) underwear under white. But white may work too for a full slip

I'd wear nude but try it white might work.

I'd go for something bold and a contrast, maybe burgundy or bright red. Demonstrate that if you are meant see it, it is meant to show, rather than a poor cover up attempt.

The white or the nude. I have this slip in white, nude and black. I always wear slips under all unlined dresses.

For a white dress, I think a white slip would work better. Agreed on the M&S slips. I wear them under summer dresses most days!
