Sezane jeans

Has anyone tried them? I love the look of these ones but they are more than I’d usually spend these days. Also very conscious that anything would look good on this model’s figure!

My honest opinion is that you’ll probably be able to find ( or get recommendations here) for alternatives if you say what it is that you like about the jeans in particular if you are open to alternatives at a cheaper price point (!if you are open to that) and where you can actually try them on.

8008less · 22/07/2023 21:39

@Niftythrifter good idea. It’s just the shape, really - high waist and slim leg and minimal stretch. I like the indigo, definitely don’t like too much ‘distressing’. And I’m tall so probably want a long version even though they are designed to sit at the ankle (which I like, but not if they’re actually at mid calf).

Thanks @Niftythrifter I quite like both of those but they don’t quite have the appeal for me of the Sezane ones… but I am aware that might just be the model’s poses and the lighting! I’ve just had a look on Vinted and there are a few pairs for sale, which makes me think they’re not as good in reality.

What are you liking about the Sezane ones? I think that personally of you are spending that much on jeans then it might be worth looking at a more established brand that specialises in jeans. Are you near a Fenwicks by any chance as they had a pretty big selection of sale jeans by brands like Frame for less than Sezane. Might be worth considering.

8008less · 22/07/2023 22:16

@Niftythrifter This is good advice. I will grit my teeth and go and try jeans on (worst shopping task ever).

I know how you feel, Jean shopping on the worst. If you find an online shop which offer True Fit then you’ll be able to enter your details in including what size you are in different shops and it helps on finding your size in that brand. It can help guide you and if you make a note of the brand and size then you will hopefully be able to find them in sprees and try them on and see if they are right for you.

Sprees- instore

That looks like excellent quality denim rather than the too much elastane version.

ChilliPB · 22/07/2023 23:11

I love Sézane jeans. I have three pairs. Really good quality and fits. It’s always a gamble ordering online but they do also have a store in London.
If you’re open to ordering online, Outnet have a great range of premium denim at great prices and worth a look.

EnidSpyton · 23/07/2023 00:20

I buy all my jeans from Sézane. They really know how to cut jeans to flatter a woman’s body and the denim is great quality.

The Brut jeans come up small, as a warning. I had to size up one size in mine. They have no give/stretch at all. The Perfect Slim are also lovely jeans - those don’t come up as small so you can buy your usual size in those.

Sezane does offer free returns if you order over a certain amount, so if you want to try and can’t get to the London shop, you can rest easy knowing you can return without any penalty.

I don't think £95 is at all excessive for a pair of jeans that are just what you want. Try them on!

I'm a low-budget tightarse, but paid £70 for some White Stuff jeans that met my requirements - I was checking every day for them to go in the sale! Jeans over about £200 might be overhyped and overpriced but, equally, jeans under £50 are likely to disappoint in some way.

GinJarRogers · 23/07/2023 07:00

I have 3 pairs of the Sezane Brut Sexy jeans and planning to get another for autumn. They’re worth the money in my opinion but I agree they come up small so size up.

I also sized up one inch for the Brut jeans. All other Sezane clothes I typically buy in my size and it fits. They're comfy jeans

rhiannon1967 · 23/07/2023 07:52

Youtuber Jesse her channel is 'Fashion and Style Edit' I'm pretty sure has these ones.

You could try trawling through the videos - look in the description box for Sezanne jeans until you find them first.
Or I'd send her a message on one of her latest videos asking for feedback on them. She seems to be really friendly and helpful.

I have the brut sexy in edge blue and love them. The denim is amazing quality and they look great on the bum.I think there are so many pairs for sale second hand as they come up really small and have no elastane so people ordering their usual
size are having to sell. I am normally a 27 & with that in mind I bought a 28 and they do fit and look good, but I will definitely
go with a 29 when ordering another colour to allow for a bit more wiggle room. I am 5’6 and have the regular length so as you are tall definitely order the longer ones.

Boppertini · 23/07/2023 10:06

Another vote for Sezane. I’ve got 2 pairs of brut sexy and I always end up choosing those when deciding what to wear. I’m also tall and love that these are actually cut at the ankle, not midway up the calf!

8008less · 23/07/2023 21:29

Thank you everyone, this has been very convincing! I will order a few pairs and do some trying on. Exciting!

Hi all. I have just bought a pair of sexy brut. I had to go one size up from my normal size - and even then, they are super tight.

Can I ask - will these jeans mould to my body shape and get nice and comfortable?

Or do they stay tight?

EnidSpyton · 16/10/2023 23:17

They will mould and loosen up. I’ve got a pair in denim and one in black. As is always the case the black ones are tighter and stiffer but they have loosened a little over time. The denim ones have loosened up considerably more and they are now my comfy jeans. At first I could barely move in them!

They are uncomfortably tight at first even when you size up, but persevere with wearing and washing and they will start to have some give. Enjoy!

Martacus · 18/10/2023 01:26

Thanks @EnidSpyton - this gives me hope!
