Blusher on nose?

I'm sure there are some filters that give you a little red nose.
Well I went to a bobbi brown makeup counter- she put my blusher on my nose too, and the eyeshadow was bronzer.
I'm 46... not sure it's in my comfort zone??

Why would anyone covet a red nose?!

Skinnermarink · 22/07/2023 11:23

I’ve never heard of this before honestly. I always thought a red nose was what you got if you’d been sunburnt or had drunk heavily every day.

beancount · 22/07/2023 11:28

I think it's to give a little rosy-glow like a sun kissed look rather than an alcoholic vibe!

CandleWick4 · 22/07/2023 11:32

The idea is to make you look like you have caught the sun so normally they pop some blush over the bridge of your nose. The idea is a sun kissed look rather than Rudolph 😂
I sometimes use my bronzer on my eyes - creates a nice cohesive look and I have a nice CT one that blends beautifully

Blusher on nose = recreating the glow you get after a day outside in the fresh air, or a bit of sunshine. It mimics the pattern of where you would naturally be more flushed

Skinnermarink · 22/07/2023 11:42

Well I never. And there’s me slathering on factor 50 face cream so I DON’T catch the sun on my nose 😂

daisydalrymple · 22/07/2023 11:46

Yes I had this at a Nars counter last week too. And the multiple on my eyes does give a little glow. Must admit I’ve always used a little blush or highlighter in my eye sockets when I’ve worn full make up (not often!) it just brings the whole look together somehow.

SquashPenguin · 22/07/2023 11:46

Bronzer as eyeshadow can look really nice, not plastered on obviously but in a subtle way.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 22/07/2023 12:02

I'm in my 50s and use bronzer as eye shadow most days. I find it creases less than actual eye shadow.

The blusher was sort of on the tip of nose and not the bridge. I quite liked the shadow/bronzer

Sometimes I put a bit of blusher on my nose depending on how the rest of my makeup looks because it brings the look 'together' for some reason. Have even been known to put a tiny bit on my Cupid's bow and chin. Bronzer on the eyes is good for a natural but contoured look and saves buying expensive eyeshadow pallets.

Oh no, it's supposed to go on the lower bridge. That is a bit odd.

Mountainormolehills · 22/07/2023 12:24

Not keen on blusher on the nose but I do use a bit of bronzer instead as I like the sunkissed vibe of it. I’m 45, it’s subtle
