Q for the Asian ladies - where do you buy salwar kameez?

Just went to an event and realised all my salwar kameez suits are too small for me. I'm a size 18 now.

Any idea where to buy plus size salwar kameez outfits from? In store or online :)

I'm very dubious about buying online, I feel the quality of what turns up is far too up in the air. If it's ready made your after, because I live in Worcestershire I tend to go to Birmingham, it's a 25 minute drive and Soho Road has lots of variety and can suit different price ranges. The other option is to buy loose fabric and get a seamstress to make an outfit for you. I usually go to Smethwick O&P for loose fabric - that's usually a cheaper option than ready made.

I am white English but for travel to a rural part of India some years back I was advised by Indian friend to wear salwar kameez. She advised me to shop for them in Bradford, which I did, in person. I had to try them on as I am a non standard size and have a different body shape to many Indian women. I really enjoyed the shopping experience and appreciated wearing them too—so comfortable and cool in hot weather. If you are near Bradford you can Google salwar kameez shops Bradford and lots will come up.

If you can get to Bradford then there are lots of ladies clothing shops along Leeds Road.

If you’re in London, then I recommend Green Street.
