0.5 lip filler

0.5 lip filler this weekend - nervous.

tell me your GOOD experiences. Would like Crows feet too but baby steps 🙈

Once the swelling goes down… 0.5 gives more “moisturized” and youthful look to the lips. I have 0.5 and now my lips look very similar to how they were when I was 16-20. I’ve never had big lips, so no change in shape/size, just more plump. Very subtle.

zinfi · 20/07/2023 20:39

After the initial swelling, as Chypre said, it will look subtly improved. It's really all you need.

I found it hurt and swelled more the first time but subsequent top ups were a doddle. If you have a nice Cupid's bow consider Russian lips technique as it defines that nicely, IMO

zinfi · 20/07/2023 20:41

Definitely go for it with the crow's feet. Botox is easier and less painful than lips.

sommeliermama · 20/07/2023 22:23

Go in knowing exactly how you want them done, same as your natural shape Vs altering their shape, think about top and bottom lip ratio, etc. Your injector should ask and listen rather than just going straight in with the needle. 0.5ml once settled won't make a big difference to the size so nothing to stress about!

And agree with PP, Botox is way less painful and easy, you will love the results

Hotwaterbottlealways · 20/07/2023 22:45

Girls your replies have got me excited now 😂

definitely will go for the crows feet too. They annoy me so much.

will check out the Russian technique now. Feeling bad about spending money on myself and really shouldn’t. I never do

I'm honestly not judging- I get regular botox - but have just googled Russian lips and the majority of before pics were better than after. But I guess had more than 0.5.

Op report back if you get a chance! Hope it goes well.

rickaaaayyyy · 20/07/2023 23:11

Go for the filler OP but don't go for Russian. They use more filler with the Russian and the look doesn't last, and the Russian technique is much more painful.

I just have 0.5 now every 9 months and I love it. It does sting a bit but it only takes 5 mins.
Also you may well swell. I loved my swollen look 😂

No judgement here!

blueshoes · 20/07/2023 23:17

Filler is bad enough (obvious from the side, even if subtle from the front) and please don't go Russian.

Hotwaterbottlealways · 20/07/2023 23:27

@Morewineplease10 what areas do you get yours

I only ever have 0.5 Russian. I have a prominent Cupid's bow so need this technique, partly, to keep and enhance the definition rather than just fill using standard technique.

Lilly0909 · 21/07/2023 00:55

Get 0.5 Russian. Far less migration than other techniques. Will look amazing. It'll hurt but it's worth it

zinfi · 21/07/2023 01:44

True, it doesn't half sting Grin

Agree about the migration, or lack of. It's also more expensive, usually, and uses finer needles.

Hotwaterbottlealways · 21/07/2023 08:12

@sommeliermama will have a look to see what shape I like. They offer 0.5ml filler for £100 or 3 areas + 1ml for £300. Makes sense for the latter

I've recently had 0.5ml of juviderm kiss. It looks fantastic. I am 39. This is the first bit of filler I've ever had and I absolutely love it. I will get a top up in around 9m or whenever I notice the filler going . Plenty of numbing cream and I'd say go to a nurse practitioner instead of just a beautician because if anything goes wrong the nurse can step in. And treat it. Ie if It needs dissolving due to reaction, vascular occlusion etc. Good luck lovely 😍

0.5 lip filler
xogossipgirlxo · 21/07/2023 11:25

0.5 is very subtle, you will look amazing. My lips are so small that I had 2x1.0ml and they look nothing like duck pout. I had babydoll technique

xogossipgirlxo · 21/07/2023 11:26

Oh and last time I had filler done 2 years ago
and in my opinion no need for top up yet. Maybe in a year’s time, as I can’t have fillers done now anyway due to pregnancy

What do they do for the babydoll technique ? I've heard of it but don't know much about it

From what I read it's to give lips fresh, girly look 😆achieved by enhancing or making cupid bow, enhancing middle part of lips and kind of rolling outside middle part of lower lip. "The process involves placing tiny droplets of filler, injected vertically into the lip, compared to lines of filler underneath the border. This technique widens, lifts and opens the lip body without any compromise of projection." It's also supposed to give effect of "flat" lip as opposite to duck pout that doctors used to do years ago.
