Who buys stuff like this?

I love fantasy clothing and unusual ideas. But in the real world, like high street fashion, who the heck buys this and wears it somewhere?

Ok, you are going to say young people, but I never see any young person dressed like this, although I might live in a bit of a strange place

I wouldn't wear it, but it's fine, I have no issue with it, but are you meant to buy it, wear it once at a special event then bin it? Where is this special event?

Just back from Spain and many bronzed babes were wearing this sort of thing and looking fabulous

I could see the odd person wearing it at a festival or the beach but it's not an ideal crotchet cover up is it.

In reality shops would only place a tiny buy as it's not going to be a huge seller.

Even in Ibiza most people don't go around with pants visible.

I’ve see Indian women wear this over a top or tunic and jeans / leggings.

I saw pictures of relatives at Glastonbury wearing similar

My friend wears things like this on holiday, she’s 23 and crochet seems all the rage again. I would not be able to pull this off (although I’d be ripping it off personally as I think it’s terrible 😂) but I don’t really think it’s anything to do with age.

It's not entirely unlike a brief fashion craze at school when we were about 13
We all went down to Peacocks (dirt cheap fashion store of the 1950's/60's and bought a mans string vest to wear as a dress . I wore mine over my navy blue school swimsuit. My friend Joanna made a red fabric liner for hers.

Really? In between beach days, pool parties and many a sheer summer dress, my pants were visible most of the time when I went to Ibiza for my 30th!

@Usernamen well Id expect to see pants at the beach or pool parties but I've always found the average person doesn't walk around the restaurants/shops with pants showing. Maybe it's just me or when I visit!

I’m on holiday now and wearing a top almost identical to that. I also wore a matching crochet top and shorts combo at Glastonbury. I’d wear the tops with jeans and skirts as everyday wear in summer too

I'd wear the skirt on holiday.. to the pool and to lunch and wondering around the resort
