Important beauty lessons (lighthearted)

What are some important lessons you've learned about style and beauty?

For me, it's never blind buy perfumes. Bought an Avon one because it was about £8 on offer and Jil Sander Sun because I'd seen it mentioned a lot on here. Sun is very unpleasant but luckily fades to nothing at all within two hours. The Avon one is abysmal. I think I burnt my nose :-O

Also, I look good with a fringe but I am far far too lazy to maintain it.

YY to blind buying perfumes. I bought Santal 33 without trying it as it smelt great on my friend - it was so foul on me it made me nauseous and I had to wash the top I'd had on twice to get it out. Thankfully I could easily sell it on eBay.

I would also say good underwear is more important than what you wear on top of it (within reason, obviously) 😁

Use skincare that works with your skin, and not because someone is telling you to use a certain product.

I have admitted to myself that acid toners break me out and I can’t tolerate glycolic acid at all. My skin is much better as a result.

You’re the one who has to wear your face, so trust what you see in the mirror, not just what an online influencer says!

Look at people who are older who look good and mirror what they've done
