Baby shower help !

Hi

my first baby shower in a few months (I’m a guest not the expectant mother)

and I have NO CLUD what to wear ? I know I want to wear a dress but that’s it

can anyone help /share some tips ?

What form is the party taking?

Because although the "shower with gifts" bit is what marks it out from other celebrations, the attached party could be anything, from a posh afternoon tea in a hotel, to a rolling buffet at someone's house, to raucous games in a community hall, and oodles of other permutations. And what you choose to wear might be a bit different for each.
