When to self tan?

If I do it in the evening I’m worried I will make the bedsheets brown.

if I do it in the day I have to hide inside until I can wash it off!

Using Bondi sands mousse for the first time.

When do you apply it? Am I missing something really obvious?

I do it when I have a day wfh and no meetings. I shower once to wash it off after the recommended time, then I shower again before bed to be on the safe side. No problems yet.

I do it in the morning and wash off around 7 hours later. It’s a hassle though as like you say you have to hide at home. It makes the sheets and bedroom stink if I do it at night

Which mousse do you have? Mine is express and can be washed off after 1-2 hours

I do it when I'm in for the day and wash it off before bed, so if I'm finished work and done with school pick ups I put it on at about 4ish wash off at 10.

I am exfoliating this evening so will do it in the morning- WFH tomorrow so even if I do honk like a biscuit factory, I can shower before the afternoon school run and nobody will be any the wiser!

I do it at night and I'm not too bothered about the odd mark on my sheets that does eventually wash off (all my bedding is white).

Surely being awake and having to be super careful about not splashing water on yourself is harder?

I do it at night & change my sheets

Next do a black self tan bed sheet sack type thing, I haven't tried it but I'd love to know if it works!

I use an express mousse usually, do it early evening (or a WFH day) leave on about 2 hours and then wash off right before bed- currently been marinating for one hour so far this evening 😂 I hate the feeling of sleeping with tan on.

I sometimes use BPerfect 10 second tan in the mornings which dries very quickly, you can put your clothes on straight away and it doesn’t smell/look like you have fake tan on (guide colour is v close to the eventual tan). This was useful on holiday as I did that before going out in the evening as I don’t naturally tan much.
