Thoughts on this bag?

I've fancied it for about a year and now it's half price in the sale, plus an extra 30% off, plus I have a voucher for a further 20% off. So about £60 instead of £220!

I've never had a Fossil bag before - what is the quality like, does anyone know? I usually carry vintage leather doctor-style/structured bags, small/medium sized and my 'style' (if you can call it that) is a ’slightly less chaotic Helena Bonham Carter’ (©️DD for that description!). I like Vampires Wife style dresses and vintage stuff.

I don't get the point of the purse glued on the side. It's ugly and obviously you couldn't put anything valuable in there so serves no purpose at all.

Based on the Fossil handbag and the Fossil watch I've owned for a few years (and love) it seems to be a good quality well-made brand. These days you can't assume that expense equals quality. In this case I'd say go for it with that type of discount.

I've been hankering after a dark green bag for ages and I'd missed this on the Fossil site. It's bigger and most importantly has zips for security, plus I can use it as a clutch or swap out the strap if I want to (I can use a chain one, which is what I loved best about the black one). It's quite simple but the colour is gorgeous and I feel I'll get more use out of it. And in the reviews/videos I've seen, the leather looks nicer than the black one, too.

And best of all, with the various discounts (yes, they stacked!) I got it reduced from £129 to £35! I couldn't really say no for that price could I?!

I was so set on the black one for ages - then I stumbled on the green one and it was instant love and I ordered it immediately. Just goes to show, what's for you won't go by you!

Fossil are good quality but that bag is ugly. Of course if we all liked the same thing it would be very boring...but I actually recoiled and made an ugghh noise when I opened the link. Sorry.

I'm late to the party I see. The second one is much nicer.
