Dress for a wedding

Ladies, please help. I have a wedding to attend in a couple of weeks and nothing to wear.

I’m currently four weeks post partum and quite saggy/untoned. ☹️ I went from a size 10 to a 12/14, and still have a bit of a pregnancy pouch (that I’d like to hide). None of my old clothes suit me and I have no idea how to dress my new body.

It’s a relatively informal wedding. I like bright colours and bold patterns, I used to be quite glam, I’m quite tall (5’ 7”) and my best feature is probably my legs. Budget isn’t an issue.

Any suggestions, please?

Congratulations on your new baby! I would not spend a fortune on a dress, since your body will still be changing for a few months. Concentrate on your assets, you've got great cleavage now with breastfeeding, and you say your legs are good. Here's a cute short dress that's loose and flowy, but confidently shows great legs. I remember going to a wedding just a few weeks postpartum; I ended up borrowing a dress from a friend since I was in the same boat.

Empire line is good for tummies.

This?
It isn’t very leggy, but it’s lovely, and tummy disguising.

You’re in luck - Farm Rio’s new collection is just out. (Wasn’t clear if your baby will be accompanying you, and if that makes a difference?)

If baby not with you, and if you possibly size up for a looser fit, I wonder if you might like this?

Alternatively, less figure hugging but still bold, there’s this. Nice sale buy.

But I may be mid-imagining your style?

Bit of a wild card, but if you’d prefer separates - for a relatively informal wedding, how about a beautiful silk shirt that you could wear with some fabulous, simple trousers? This one is long and would be equally lovely tucked in or not. The nice thing is that it’s very wearable in (smart) non-event life. Other colours available. (Yes, I adore these shirts.)
