Pink cut out bodysuit

I want to get this bodysuit (for the colour) the other one on site is sold out. I’m size 12 with niorks and a young looking 51 year old fairly toned body. Is it ok to wear something with the cut outs at my age or should I look for something else?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in.
There doesn't appear to be a suggested age range for it.

I wouldn't wear it because I don't like pink, and the style wouldn't suit me.

CC4712 · 13/07/2023 10:40

Is it a swimsuit or a top?

Wear what you want, but for me- I hate pink and wouldn't be able to wear a bra without it being visible in the cut out bit (if its a top?).

FFSCarrieBradshaw · 13/07/2023 10:52

I think that's absolutely fine to wear at any age.

If you like it.

It’s a body suit. I wish I’d got the normal one they had but it was only available online and not in store when I was there.

Ah yes the bra question which I will need! Probably a no then!

@CC4712 , it's a bodysuit - like a top with poppers between your legs, and the idea is that you don't have to tuck it into your skirt or trousers

Ah! If you need a bra, it's probably a no!

If you're OK with braless, no problemo.

House of Fraser have a sale one. Not sure if any of these would suit?

The high neck and ribbed effect probably won't flatter a large bust. The high neckline will make an unsupported bust look bigger. A scooped neckline and a decent bra will definitely look better.

DuchessOfSausage · 13/07/2023 11:39

unsupported bust look bigger and lower (saggier)

StarlightLady · 13/07/2023 11:48

Yes, from your description I think you could carry it off. Personally, I never think cutouts work with a high neck.

And you would need to feel confident braless.

Theos · 13/07/2023 11:49

No with big tits

Thatbloodyhedge · 13/07/2023 11:50

God no

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 13/07/2023 12:08

Years ago I had to wear a bra and I was smaller, so a C cup upwards. There was only one dress I didn’t wear a bra with (backless or low back jewelled Karen Millen one) but this was in my mid 20s when my boobs were firmer and it was only for an evening. You couldn’t really get decent low cut back bras then anyway and the material and high neck meant I had some support!

Think this one is definitely a no. Note to self, order the bloody bodysuit if you see it online!

I'm in my 40s and a 36F. I still go braless (except when at work) with the right dresses or T shirts in the hot weather.

FFSCarrieBradshaw · 13/07/2023 13:01

There's absolutely no reason why you should wear a bra, I've got into my 50s without ever doing so. It's obvious a no bra top though!

I was in Tesco’s last night and saw a ribbed pink swimsuit (you could easily wear it as a bodysuit). Of course all the larger sizes were sold out and a 14 covered the norks. A 12 was too tight.

The cut out details I’ll leave to the young uns.

I did see a very slim young woman in a pink cut out stretch midi dress and in theory she didn’t need a bra.

Gosh. F cup braless. Unless you’re very pert it must be quite the sight.

been there and would never have gone out like that

StarlightLady · 15/07/2023 11:44

@Theos - For me (36F) going braless in the warm weather is still the most comfy. I have to be choosy about what I'm wearing. The other thing you need to wear with it is confidence and not worry about what are considered social norms. Freely available and in everyone's head.
