SNS nails and gel toes every 3 weeks.

I do my own at home with regular polish - Sunday I do hands and feet, and Wednesday I do just hands. I quite enjoy the routine of it. I currently have turquoise toes and sparkly black fingers.

No they’d never last with all the washing up and housework I have to do.

My small town high street has 6 nail bars!! I'm always astounded at the people in there, how do they afford it week in week out? And do they not care about money laundering and modern slavery concerns about such places?

I keep my hand natural as type all day, do my own toes in summer - would never pay someome to paint my nails, it's not exactly hard or specialised.

I bought myself a gel kit in lockdown and use it all the time - recently moved onto builder gel and now won't look back!

So pretty!

StarlightLady · 13/07/2023 11:51

I've started to get mine done regularly (fingers and toes) since lockdown. I am making up for all those things I couldn't do.

MouseSculptureMadeOfOldHairbrushFluff · 13/07/2023 14:36

I get a pedicure monthly. Can't have my little tootsies missing out on having their feelings of insecurity exploited. That wouldn't do.

I only ever put clear polish on my fingernails.

cactidream · 13/07/2023 14:45

I used to do mine every 2.5weeks
During lockdown got my kit- and never looked back!
I love the routine- I switch on my favorite tv series and make a cup of tea.
It is very relaxing. It took a bit of time to do the right hand, though!

Most people are not paying for nail polish. People on the thread and generally are paying for acrylics and gel nails it's not a weekly occurance it's more monthly. Perhaps it's the equivalent to what people spend on coffees or a takeaway it's all relative isn't it?

escapingthecity · 13/07/2023 16:13

No. I am concerned about the modern slavery issues around nail bars and would rather spend my money on other things. I paint my own nails reasonably regularly and am happy with how they look when I do (the secret is a good base coat)

Deadringer · 13/07/2023 16:20

99% of the time i just keep mine natural, but occasionally when they are long I will file them and put on a lick of polish, usually pale pink or with a bit of glitter like the pic. If they are annoying me or they start to break I just cut them all short. Excuse the sausage fingers.

Natural.

I’ve never been into nails.
