For those who don't know what BIAB is and are interested. These are my own nails on the left. They go super long using this. But I'm due our baby in 2 weeks so I've had them cut down. Most recently on the right.

Ah no! Ive noticed my old work colleagues having nude nails and so far nothings been said!

I got struck off for forgetting to pay my Gdc 🙈 I was one day late: they wouldn't let me pay a late fee or anything. I was pregnant at the time and on the fence about whether to go back after mat leave or not anyway so the choice was made! Luckily I was working in the NHS so I just got de banded and sent to the offices for a while. It was so much nicer than nursing!!

Absolutely especially when we volunteer for this explitation. Its almost like the hunger games for the vain really.

I do my own. Sometimes gels (I use Bluesky) but I get bored of them and too frequent removals leaves them damaged, so often just normal polish. My nails are terribly thin and weak (always have been) so break easily but having them painted gives them an extra layer of strength. I really prefer them with a bit of colour but at the very least I'll have a couple of coats of strengthener like OPI Nail Envy which makes them shiny.

I used to go for IBX treatments which made a big difference to the strength, but nowhere near where I live now does it so I've got myself a Salon Services trade card (from a very long-ago career as a hairdresser) and have ordered the stuff to do it myself.

I do russian manicure and biab every three weeks. I pay £70 each time. Crazy crazy crazy money.

BIAB every 3 weeks but I don't enjoy getting them done but worth it.

Every two weeks, CND Shellac. My nailtech is excellent so nails are fine. When I go on hols, they get a six week break and get a keratin treatment applied instead.

BIAB and colour every 2 - 3 weeks.

Hands and feet every month. I have those coffin nails that people on MN like to look down on 😆 and in bright colours.

Natural. Don’t have the skills to do them myself, would chip them instantly, not allowed to at work and have concerns about the ethics of nail salons and the chemicals involved for staff

Every 2-3 weeks I get gel nails as I like them long, almond shaped & usually dark red or black. Toes done every 2-3 times in same colour as hands. Costs about £35 for hands & £30 for toes - I don’t enjoy the process but really love the results.

Jammything8, dip powder nails are basically when they take a powder, use some sort of chemical to turn it into a sort of paste, and then put it on top of your natural nails. They can use acrylic extensions with it if you want, and either you can choose a dip powder colour or have polish put on the top which is what I do. I think it's probably clear that I don't really know how it works

Whoops, hit send too soon. But it really does work - my nails don't chip or break at all, it's great, other than regrowth they still look good as new when I get them redone

I do my own nails and keep them natural looking. I shape, tidy my cuticles, paint with nail strengthener, and moisturise/use cuticle oil religiously. I don't know how people can afford to spend so much money having them done professionally.

I do my own nails, very short and coffin shaped. I think this looks far better than the ones that are wider at the end. They look like inverted guitar picks.

Every 3 weeks - I had vile bitten nails for my entire 50something years until about a year ago so gel has helped me grow them and I'm not going back. I'll always be a nail biter. If one is ever naked I'm there!!

I get BIAB every 3 weeks. I then either have a gel colour over the top or I’m really liking coloured tips at the moment.

Toes yes, about every two to three months. fingernails, never.

I have stopped pedicures due to the COL. I am going to let the toenails be natural and do them at home.

used to get acrylics every three-ish weeks, same time as I got my lash extensions and my brows done. Expensive day 😅 so I’ve had to give it up recently, but I miss the nails the most!!
