Another Wedding Guest One - this isn't too white?

Sorry to add to the deluge of similar posts but I've got a wedding to attend at the end of the month and have found a dress I love.

It ticks all my boxes, length, material, sleeves etc.
(I'm plus size and like to cover a tattoo on my upper arm for events)
I love that I will be able to wear it again and again.

However, I'm now doubting myself, is it "white"? All the comments on here have made me really paranoid.

Would you be annoyed if someone turned up to your wedding wearing this?

Definitely not white as far as I can see.

katmarie · 11/07/2023 17:53

It's fine, it's not remotely wedding dress like. And there's plenty of colour in the pattern.

AbacusAvocado · 11/07/2023 17:54

That’s absolutely fine, and I’m pretty traditional and strait laced about these traditions. It’s much more colourful than white. Honestly don’t think it’s a problem.

tryingsomethingnew · 11/07/2023 17:55

If you've posted the right link- it's absolutely fine. More coloured than white.

Ariela · 11/07/2023 17:58

It's fine - and you can always accessorise with jade, pink, beige to make it even less white (not that it is white, it's patterned multicolour) . Looks very smart.

Not white at all but I’m confused as I thought Barbour had gone belly up?

They've not have they? I don't think that's right.

Timeforchangeithink · 11/07/2023 18:45

O p and Smarties - both fine

CoffeeAndWinePlease · 11/07/2023 19:00

Thanks everyone for the reassurance.

Unsurprisingly, it was my mother who sowed the seed of doubt.

I mean, she's not overly keen on most of my choices so if it was anything but a wedding, I'd have paid no heed.

Oh gosh. I hope not.
The fit of this dress is perfect so hoping it's a style they regularly do in different prints.

Beautiful dress ! Gorgeous

WarmWinterSun · 11/07/2023 19:08

Hunters has gone belly up, not aware of Barbour having any problems

Jongleterre · 11/07/2023 19:10

I've never seen a floral wedding dress.

LadyTemperance · 11/07/2023 19:11

@WarmWinterSun thats the one, obviously merged together in my brain as countryside clothing brands!

Spottybikehelmet · 11/07/2023 19:14

A lovely dress and definitely good for a wedding. I did not know Barbour did dresses though!

Pantsinthewash · 11/07/2023 19:26

I've seen it in a shop and agree with previous people's comments and would add that feel of the fabric is great too.

Viviennemary · 11/07/2023 22:46

It's fine. It isnt white and nothing like a wedding dress.
