Crimping my hair

I'm feeling a bit nostalgic for my teenage years and fancy crimping my hair. Can anyone recommend a good crimper for long thick hair?

I've got a Tony and Guy deep waver (or something like that) and it's like an enormous crimper.

Ooh, flashback to my 1980s Babyliss and smell of singeing hair!

Am sure they're more sophisticated now.
And I'm not 12...

Does crimping ever look good though? Not big wave crimps but traditional crimping always looked a frizzy mess to me

The wavers are quite different from crumpets though. Crimping is like the poster who posted a picture. All frizzy

Yes! This is more what I was thinking of although the wavers look like they'd give my hair a classier look but really I was thinking more fun 90s crimping in this case.

I'd stick to good old Babyliss for crimping, they were the OG crimpers in the 90s.

And not too expensive either. Thank you

I loved my hair crimped! Too old now though.
