@loz12345 That's what they did for me when I had a box arrive with a missing item - great customer service.

On another topic, just to report back that I tried the Ren cleansing milk last night and it's great for removing eye make-up! I put it on a cloth first, rather than straight onto my face and it did a brilliant job. I really liked how soft and moisturised my skin felt afterwards and could be tempted to buy this when it runs out.

The perfume smells like Bakewell tart - I'm in love!!

TheLemon · 19/07/2023 14:51

So Liberty have just told me I can only spend credit on beauty products only. That's a shame as I was hoping to have access to their wider range. Never mind, I will live vicariously through you lot!

PinkFootstool · 19/07/2023 14:52

@TheLemon eh? I've bought jewellery with my credits.... Have you tried to put through a basket with the credits as payment?

I'm not a subscriber yet. Their T&Cs were ambiguous so I asked their customer service.

Love the perfume plus tried the shampoo this morning - another like. The conditioner was too small to judge. These boxes must encourage people to buy so much - I’ve only £60 credit now and we’re very near AC season. 1 more beauty kit and I’ll have to stump up the full amount (plus the others I’m likely to buy anyway).
will not get more than 3!!

Can I ask the name of it please, I think I’d like that!

It's Darling Nikki by Vilhelm Perfumerie.

MavisMcMinty · 19/07/2023 15:21

God, I’m so rubbish at smells, can never identify any top, base or whatever-the-other notes are! But I really like the Dear Nikki, and it lasted for hours, until I had a bath and replaced the smell with the Beauty Drop bath oil. I thought 9mls of bath oil sounded very stingy but you only need a few drops.

MavisMcMinty · 19/07/2023 15:21

Sorry, Darling not Dear.

notanicepersonapparently · 19/07/2023 15:24

Darling Nicki has quite a masc femme feel to me. Lots of woods and leather with citrus and soap. It’s strange how differently it seems to come across to other people.

QueefofSheena · 19/07/2023 15:27

My box was ruined as the oil had opened and emptied out. The courier left it on the step, rang the door and scarpered. As soon as I opened the door I was hit by an overwhelming smell of lavender. His van must reek!

Everything was covered in oil. Liberty are sending me a replacement, they didn’t ask but I attached photos to the web chat just in case.

LoveLabradors · 19/07/2023 15:32

@TheLemon - I have been a member since the inception of the beauty drop and have spent more of my credit on homewares and jewellery than beauty. I’ve never had a problem doing this.

DaisyDando · 19/07/2023 15:36

I bought trainers with my credit a few months ago.

TheLemon · 19/07/2023 15:48

Thanks all - how strange I'm getting that message from customer service. Maybe that's the general principle but there's no actual way of policing it. Feels like a bit of a gamble though as there's no way I'd spend that amount on beauty stuff each year.

Jellycats4life · 19/07/2023 15:49

It seems that officially, Beauty Drop credit is supposed to be spent on beauty products, and that’s the official line from customer services.

In reality, the website doesn’t prohibit you from spending it on anything.

redredwineub40 · 19/07/2023 16:00

Really bizarre - if they enforced that I’d unsubscribe - kids clothes and jewellery here! Have bought some beauty!

TheLemon · 19/07/2023 16:04

Customer service have backtracked!

Got mine this afternoon. I like the perfume I think. I do agree I can smell soap.
not keen on the smell of the body and hand cream so far but have only had a quick try.

listsandbudgets · 19/07/2023 16:45

Damn you Liberty ... there was I saving up for a carpet and now I'll have to settle for an advent calander Grin

hettiethehare · 19/07/2023 16:46

Just got mine - the cap wasn't fully tightened on my AA body oil so, whilst it hasn't exactly leaked all over the box, the whole thing does smell overpoweringly of lavender!

Overally I'm happy though - I love the perfume (I like that it smells very subtle on me) and everything else is something I will enjoy using.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 19/07/2023 17:43

I really dislike the perfume, it smells quite old fashioned to me and I really don’t need more cleansers, they are in every box. The shampoo and conditioner are too small for me to even try (I have a lot of hair) but DD has stolen them. The serum looks promising.

Jellycats4life · 19/07/2023 17:46

I have to say, I’ve tried four Vilhelm Parfumerie fragrances now and only one of them has been a hit. I think they’re a really interesting brand and I love the design of the bottles though.

I really want to like them but none of the three I've tried have appealed to me. I love perfume and thought I'd love this brand but I'm glad I had the samples otherwise I could have made a very expensive blind buy.

This isn't accurate; Liberty cs varies wildly.
I was told a ring I bought, listed as 9c gold, clearly 925 silver and marked as such, was 'gold plated'. The maker doesn't make gold plated. So take their info with a pinch of salt. I've bought fabric, jewellery and household with my bd credit. I'm cancelling now though.
