Wedding dress, advice needed!

I'm getting married in 8 weeks and I found the most beautiful wedding dress on eBay for £250 (rrp £100, felt very smug) . Sorted, I thought. Except I tried it on the other day and I've gone right off it.

So I found this one and love it intensely but it's sooo expensive! If I buy it, I'll be able to sell it on/hire it out to make some of the cost back, right? Or is there anywhere else I can look to find something similar a bit cheaper?

It’s a lovely dress - but that is pretty much the average price for that style. (I had a look on Net-a-Porter and found three Roksanda caped dresses, for comparison.) You could try The Outnet, to see if any previous season stock by the same brand is available reduced.

I’d be surprised if Safiyaa gowns were not available to hire - have you looked? There’s an article on good dress rental places … Found it:

You could enquire at some of these. And buying pre-worn is obviously an option.

Depends how much time you can dedicate to searching!

It's beautiful OP, and it is one that has been worn by several European royals, and Meghan, in various colourways, so hopefully you would have no trouble recouping a good chunk of your money after your wedding.

I had a look at all the hire sites and no joy, I think it's too new as yet. But mine will be joining them, @RockaLock thanks for the encouragement, I have just bought it! I think that after my house and car it's the most expensive thing I've ever bought! Now I have two months of no carbs and daily workouts to make it fit properly 😂
