Do you still buy in Hush? What's it good for?

I buy lots, skirts, dresses, t shirts. Brand suits me.

oldoldieoldieold · 08/07/2023 18:37

I like Hush. I have dresses, tees, trousers. I have one pair of jeans but most are too long for me as I'm a shirt arse.

atthebottomofthehill · 08/07/2023 20:15

No, gone off it. Everything seems frumpy now and the quality has taken a nosedive

DamaskRosie · 08/07/2023 20:16

I have some of their slub tshirts and cotton trousers for lounging about. It's all a bit samey, I find, but ok for basics.

NotLovingWFH · 08/07/2023 20:18

I still live in my Hush denim shorts, boyfriend jeans, long sleeved casual tops and a few tshirts. I have lots of their very fine knit sweaters too and was complimented on kne just the other day. I haven’t bought anything new in ages but frequently look on Vinted for older stuff.

I got some of their harem pants and two cotton shirts this season. I was happy with the quality for the price.

I really like their patterned dresses (although don’t particularly go in for florals.) They are usually flattering to the middle aged middle, lovely colours and great for work.

I’ve just bought this to wear to the RA summer show next week (going with my coolest dressing friend, who works in design. I’ll never outcool her, but at least I’ll look cheerfully colourful.)

I really don’t get the ‘frumpy’ issue by the way. When I’m in central London, and out and about elsewhere, I see so many women looking amazing (and creatively dressed) in garments that would inevitably be dismissed on MN as ‘frumpy.’ Normally, ‘frumpy’ on here means something doesn’t meet the narrow definition of a cool (white, affluent, middle class) English school gates mum.

I bought a pair of jeans once. I like them, but...That's it. For the ££ money, it All seems very standard, matching whatever is in, everywhere.

cocksstrideintheevening · 08/07/2023 22:24

Don't like it anymore, all the tops are
So boxy, I don't want to be cut off
Mid point.

Lemonademoney · 20/08/2023 14:10

Love a bit of Hush. It can be pricey but I find most of it wears well. Play suits are good as are the jackets. Not as keen on their jersey pieces but having said that their joggers are a nice casual option

EllaPaella · 20/08/2023 15:25

I used to like Hush but it's so samey now, every single season they churn out the same stuff. And the quality is poor for the price. Having said that I have just ordered a pair of PJ's and a towel in the sale. The Pyjamas were only £21 - I certainly wouldn't have paid the full price of nearly £60.

AgathaMystery · 20/08/2023 15:29

I buy the Ken’s’s from dresses over and over - but on vinted. Yes, I wear them to death but I can wear them to death for £35 not £79 and am trying not to buy any newly manufactured clothing.

AgathaMystery · 20/08/2023 15:29

That should say kensington dresses
