Non see through white tops.

Looking for a non see through white top / T-shirt. To go with linen trousers. Not a fan of extremely low v necklines that seem to be current trend for every top. I’m 44 for reference.

Please someone help me find one I’m on the verge of giving up.

All the Uniqlo T-shirts I've had have been quite thick cotton, not at all see-through.

Following because this drives me absolutely bonkers.

I thought I’d finally found a good white silk top to wear with my linens, and I’ve been happily wearing it all over the place. Then DH announced last weekend that I might want to wear something over the top as it’s completely see-through out in the daylight! 😱

I friggin give up!

@Ilovemycatalot, I'm a 10 and wear a medium to fit and large to be a bit oversized. I just measured a medium across from the underarms and it's 48cm.

Came on to say Uniqlo U , lovely thick non see through white t shirt. When I was size 12/14 I got M but I like T-shirts to be slim fit

Agree, Uniqlo U is the thickest fabric. I like to get that one fitted as it keeps a good, stiff-ish shape.

I think light bra colours 'shine' through less than white, so I've got light yellow, light pink, nude (although it's not anything like my actual skin) etc. I'm not that bothered about my bra showing through really; maybe I should be 😄😳.

Also came to say that a non-white bra can make a big difference

Just wear a very light weight camisole?

I had this problem and have tried so many white tops but they are all a little bit see through. So I treated myself to this and it is honestly like magic. Can’t see a thing. I have even worn this over a black bra and it still works!

That looks good Lavender1974. I'd probably choose the ivory one, although I might be worried about being too hot.

What colour bra do you wear? Wearing a skin-colour bra has been a game changer for me. My white see-through tops are no longer see-through.

Also....did you know if you wear a red bra under a white tshirt it isn't see through?! Never knew until recently.

I read a long article where they tested the red bra / white t-shirt thing. The conclusion was that it might work if you chose the exact tone of red that complemented your skin colour. And their definition of red was very broad (beyond red really).

My favourite white shirts/tops I have to wear a camisole or white vest underneath which I dont particularly want to do in this weather, and then because of the nature of any cami or vest, my bra straps show and my bras are big old unsexy types, in beige, cant get worse so you see big old lady beige bra strap, vest strap, then top.

Just for those talking about the bra colour, its not just about the bra showing through, its also about all my saggy, bumpy bits and outline of me that would show through a top if its too see through.

Why is it men’s t shirts are never see through but women’s are? and who designs these low cut cheap material clothes? Men always seem to have better quality clothing. Ok rant over.
