Gold or tan comfortable sandals

Travelling to the South of France soon and in need of a comfy pair of gold or tan sandals to wear with dresses, skirts and shorts. I’ll be walking a few miles a day in them.

I like the look of the Saltwater swimmer sandals as they’ve got a bit of a thicker sole but they look a bit frumpy.

I’ve got black Dr Marten sandals which I find comfortable but looking for something different

Budget up to about £100

I find air and grace very comfortable and not frumpy .

Tan not gold. Hours of walking I'd opt for broken in Birkenstocks with a heel strap or trainers. No sandals are made for walking. Saying that I walked for hours around a city centre in crocs yesterday and chose them over Birkenstocks (too new still was worried about rubbing). They served me well

I recently bought a pair of the classic saltwater tan sandals and 100 percent recommend! They were so comfortable straight away and I was a bit concerned like you that they would look a bit frumpy but don't feel they do when I've worn them!

Esska, but I'd also look at Birkenstock's and Fitflop.

I'd go gold, goes with everything.

I have a few of the Ugg wedge sandals and despite the height I can wear them all day.

I got some gold ones in new look last year, not sure if they still have them but they're very comfy. I wore them all around a theme park for days on end in 30+° heat

Salt Water 100%, they are SO comfy! You need to get them really wet at first (a lot of people wear them in the bath, I wore mine in the shower) and don't take them off until they are completely dry. I got mine in June and walked round Edinburgh and Edinburgh zoo (which is really hilly) in nearly 30°c heat two days after I got them, not a single blister! I've worn them every single day since I got them.

Toms Sicily are very comfy

Hmmmbetterchangethis · 08/07/2023 11:16

@MetaverseMavis walking sandals are made for exactly that!
I’ve done hundreds of miles and even up and down mountains in mine!

whatalemming · 08/07/2023 11:17

I've just bought some lovely tan and gold fitflops that are super comfy (and in the sale!!)

Oh wow sounds great. Which style did you get? The original? I’ve got quite a high arch so want something with a bit more support so was thinking the swimmer ones

I got the swimmers for the same reasons as you. They do look very flat but they are very comfortable, they really cushion your feet!

I have several pairs of Saltwater sandals and several pairs of FitFlop Gracie sandals and for walking long distances, the FitFlops win hands down. The Saltwaters are comfy on a day to day basis, but the soles are hard and after a lot of walking I feel it. Fitflop soles are cloud-like!

I really like the look of the fit flop Gracie’s. I wish they had them in gold!

Salt water board walks - super comfy! I love mine!

CinnamonJellyBeans · 09/07/2023 11:25

fitflop for walking long distances.

LividHot · 09/07/2023 14:23

I've got the tan Saltwater Swimmers.

I am VERY fussy about comfy feet, hence buying the Swimmers.

They're super comfy straight out the box.
