Best bras for a 32E?

Looking for some underwire bra suggestions, please! For the last year, I have been wearing Fantasie smoothing moulded cup bras which are amazing for lift and look fantastic under clothes... however I've been suffering with acne all over my chest for the first time and have narrowed down one of the possible reasons being these bras... so any other recs for bras with great lift and support? Thanks

I'd be surprised if the bra caused acne. Much more likely to be a shower gel, body lotion, washing powder or something. Or just a hormonal or bacterial thing.
In terms of shape/lift I find Panache bras best.

Bravissimo are really good , find your local store and book an appointment to get measured / a consultation. They will help with sizing and what sort of style suits you. Could it be the heat giving you spots? Friction and heat maybe? Or have you been wearing suncream on that area?

MayMi · 08/07/2023 06:50

I'm the same size as you, I recommend Boux Avenue, M&S and Bravissimo.

As you may have found already, not many shops sell this size! When they do into the DD+ range they just skip 32 and go straight from 34 onwards.

Try out different styles of bra because the shape of the underwire varies depending on the style of the bra, and some may be more suitable to you than others. For example you might find full cup bras comfy but plunge a bit pokey, even if you wear the same size.

I agree with another PP that unless your acne is only in your bra area, it's unlikely that it's the fabric causing the acne. More likely to be skincare products, but also stress and other things may cause it.

Chantelle bras are my faves. Such a good fit and so comfy. Expensive but will last year's if you take care washing them.

ouch44 · 08/07/2023 07:03

Try Brastop. They are fab for bigger sizes and BOB sizes. I am also a 32. I got Panache envy and Pananche Tango. Brilliant support

Similar moulded style Idol by Freya

Vohgue · 08/07/2023 07:11

Thanks all. Does anyone have any specific bra styles they like that I could try (rather than the brand/store)?
The acne may be related to something else yes, but I haven't changed anything like washing liquid or body products, and the acne is persistent in this area. I thought perhaps hormonal but it's not cyclical. It's very frustrating.

I'd recommend Panache

Stickykidney · 08/07/2023 07:24

Me too! Worn fantasie for years and the last 6 months I have narrowed by weird chest rash down to the bras! I thought I was mad.
Tried brastop (last season, who cares!) And a brand called curvy Kate who I had tried years ago and hate but love now! Very sturdy support. Was a 32g in fantasie and am a 32g in curvy Kate. Even have one of their soft ones for about the house

Vohgue · 08/07/2023 09:19

Interesting Stickykidney can you please tell me which Curvy Kate bra you like?

I'll take a look at Chantelle - that's not a brand I've come across. I'll also look at the two Panache bras thanks ouch44

Panache Elan!

fufulina · 08/07/2023 09:45

I love Freya - and oddly the plunge bras - which sound like they would be terrible - look great under clothes for me. I’m a FF.

EffortlessDesmond · 08/07/2023 16:29

Another vote for Chantelle bras. I especially like the Hedona and Ravilous styles. You'll need a good independent bra shop probably.

theculture · 08/07/2023 17:31

After spending loads on bras and being unsatisfied I got caught short whilst visiting some friends and bought a 2 pack pair 32E in Sainsbury's and I love them!

Nicely supporting, containing after my post children floppyness and pretty colours

Bananaspliff · 08/07/2023 17:56

I’m the same size as you and love the Victoria's Secret dream angels bras, they’re really comfortable. A 32E is a 32DDD in there for some reason.

TheOGCCL · 08/07/2023 18:09

I second Panache Tango and Panache Envy. Panache Envy comes up smaller imo so tend to wear those at start of cycle not end.

WhereAreWeNow · 08/07/2023 19:18

Panache Andorra is my favourite. But if you're after a t-shirt bra you're better off looking at the Elan or similar. Chantelle t-shirt bras are lovely.

MistyTrains · 08/07/2023 19:24

Gossard - I have the superboost lace bralet, also the encore, I want the tshirt superboost.

Freya Temptress - not got it but nice.

Pour Moi Amore padded and Romance.

Love all those.

BarbaraWoodlouse · 08/07/2023 19:30

I have discovered over the years that brand is a really personal thing. I am basically able to wear panache and a couple of other bravissimo styles that suit my shape. Way less about size and more about shape. I’d still recommend a trip to bravissimo but definitely focus on the brands/styles that work for you.

Octopus45 · 08/07/2023 20:57

I'm a bit smaller than you 30DD/E or 32D, but I find M&S the best place, I like the shape that their Rosie bras give me. The only thing I would say is the sizing isn't always consistent, I bought a 32D bra in there a few weeks ago and its a bit small tbh, where my other ones are fine.

Vohgue · 12/07/2023 00:03

Thanks everyone for replying. Lots of different styles to look into! Panache envy seems to get a lot of love (some online reviews say the wires are too high under arms, not sure if anyone else has experienced this but worth a shot anyway). I've never considered Victoria's secret, but have a store not too far from me. I've found somewhere I can order Chantelle bras too. I'm also going to wash my bras with minimal(or no?) laundry liquid for a while and see if that helps.

I'm a 30F and just bought one of these in black.

It seems to fit well and for £14 i thought it was definitely worth a try. Just need to see how it is after a few hours of wear.

HollywoodTease · 12/07/2023 01:26

Pour Moi is my go-to brand and St Tropez is my favourite style of theirs.
