Shampoo and Conditioner suggestions

I've been looking for a decent shampoo and conditioner but my budget isn't one of olaplex or K18.
Hair is definitely on the dry side, not crunchy dry, but looks like it would benefit a good drink of water.
I just can't justify megabucks products with CoL etc, so any ideas of ones I could pick up in boots or superdrug would be ideal.
(Ideally it'll smell lovely and fresh!)

Tigi bedhead. It only comes in massive bottles but it lasts ages. I’ve been using the level 3 shampoo and level 2 conditioner for the last year and my hair is in the best condition it’s ever been.

FawnFrenchieMum · 06/07/2023 21:21

It’s the rehab for hair one. Red (level 3) and Green (level 2) bottles

Moonshine5 · 06/07/2023 21:21

The regular Pantene conditioner is excellent. And is comparable to "luxury" brands

Lwrenagain · 06/07/2023 21:24

Thank you! I'll get them googled immediately! Much appreciated x

UpCircle is your friend. Not as cheap as supermarket stuff but way way way better. All organic recycled ingredients, jars are refilled and my thick, coloured hair is just mental with this shampoo. Uber shiny, supersoft and you only need a wee bit so small jar is lasting a long time.
I quite genuinely have never had my hair feel like this!
Love their skincare too.

PastTheGin · 06/07/2023 21:28

@Hedjwitch I have been looking at the Upcircle shampoo, but I am dithering as there isn’t a conditioner. Which conditioner do you use with it?

Hedjwitch · 06/07/2023 21:33

I dont use a conditioner. The shampoo is enough.

Hedjwitch · 06/07/2023 21:35

I just washed it tonight if this helps. No products on or anything

Not a great pic but it feels really soft

BadGranny · 06/07/2023 21:46

Sainsbury’s coconut oil shampoo and conditioner - cheap and very effective.

Teddypops · 06/07/2023 22:45

My hair was quite dry as it was heavily lightened last year. I use Pantene Keratin and Moroccan oil.

I use herbal essences clean shampoo - clear and green bottle.

Riverlee · 06/07/2023 22:46

I like the L’Oréal ones - always buy when on offer.

WesterChick · 06/07/2023 22:53

Another vote for the Bedhead ones. I get the massive bottles on Amazon. I like the Oatmeal and Honey ones.

And once a week slather hair with coconut oil for 30 mins before washing twice and conditioning as normal. That's a game changer. And tbh olive oil, a tsp poured into hands and smoothed over hair for 5 mins before shower works pretty much as well.

aperolspritzbasicbitch · 06/07/2023 22:55

I've just made the move to L'Oréal pro, in a bid to try and save some pennies.

Shampoo and conditioner cost the same as just a bottle of kerastase shampoo, with is what I normally use.

Lwrenagain · 07/07/2023 07:45

@Hedjwitch that's some mega shiny hair right there! ❤

Thanks everyone! Massively appreciated!

Redken Extreme Shampoo with Redken All Soft Conditioner, brilliant paring.

Wildlyboring · 07/07/2023 07:56

Yes they're pricier products but you need far less than cheaper ones and they last ages.

MissingMoominMamma · 07/07/2023 07:57

I just tested the Garnier Ultimate Blends, Honey Treasures for MN. Lovely stuff- I’m carrying on with it!

idliketogetdownnow · 07/07/2023 08:32

I am obsessed with the Nexxus shampoo and conditioner at the moment. I never buy the same thing twice but I'm on my third set now. They give me completely different hair. From crispy to swishy.

On the pricey side but there are often special offers on Boots.

Lookingformymarbles · 07/07/2023 08:39

I can highly recommend Body Shop banana shampoo & conditioner-it's my go to when my hair feels particularly dry and needs some extra help. For me it's more effective than a lot of others ive tried inclu olaplex

ghostyslovesheets · 07/07/2023 13:52

I use this range

Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic Shampoo | Haircare | L'Oréal Paris (loreal-paris.co.uk)

The wonder water is fantastic and it's not expensive - I'm 53 with menopausal hair and it's in great condition - I also use the Extreme Lengths conditioning cream

Only pricey thing I add is Keratase serum

Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic Shampoo | Haircare | L'Oréal Paris

I've just got the Aldi Bonded Conditioner (Olaplex dupe?) and my hair feels amazing

I usually use Redken All soft but I've run out so trying this until I can get my hairdresser to order another 1000ml bottle - but now I'm not so sure I will...
