Who's the most attractive/beautiful woman you've ever met? What were they like?

A woman who I know well-ish, she is in early thirties now but has quite frankly won the genetic lottery. She is stared at and drooled over by everyone in the street (men and other women)

Oh to be her...

Who's the most beautiful/attractive woman you've ever met and why?

It doesn't necessarily have to be completely based on appearance either, maybe the way they carry themselves etc

I'm intrigued to know.

I met Nigella Lawson briefly in about 2010, and I've never seen anybody so luminous before or since. I do think that poise and perfect manners help, old fashioned though it might sound.

Obviously standing near her made me look like a loosely fastened bag of odds and ends that somebody had fished out of a skip Grin

There was a girl in the year below me at school who was stunning and another truly gorgeous girl about 3 years above me. Like they were truly beautiful. Both kept themselves to themselves and were quiet.

There was another girl at school who was actually a model (doing real high fashion stuff) but in the flesh she looked gangly and awkward. She was lovely to talk to though and dead down to earth.

dontgobaconmyheart · 03/07/2023 10:59

The honest answer is that I haven't! Most people I meet or have seen are just...normal or nice looking. Obviously I've seen attractive people in my life but I cant say I've ever had a response like that to it or felt I was looking at somebody who's looks I was genuinely taken aback by.

I haven't been in a situation where I've seen a celebrity known for their good looks in person say, where maybe they really are a knockout in person but as it stands - lots of normal or very nice looking people but still just people nonetheless.

I have a good friend who is truly georgeous. She is absolutly lovely with it as well very thoughful and funny.

However, having been her friend for a while, I do think that really really good looks are a mixed blessing. She gets approached all the time, all of it unwanted. She won't take public transport due to bad experiences of beeing hassled. Some people (particularly women unfortunatly) are off with her just because of how she looks and no amount of getting to know her will change their minds. I've heard some really stupid things said about her by people who didn't know we were friends, based on nothing other than how she looks.

It is not all sunshine and roses.

jigglytip · 03/07/2023 11:13

I have seen beautiful people on the TV but never in real life, everyone is just so ordinary

0021andabit · 03/07/2023 11:18

My old Zumba instructor was breathtakingly beautiful. She taught yoga too. She was obviously very fit and toned. But it was more about how she carried herself - she just was radiant.

Eyesopenwideawake · 03/07/2023 11:20

We had a volunteer here last year who was absolutely stunning. We found out later that she'd modelled for Calvin Klein when she was 15!! She was effortlessly stylish, even when cleaning out the chicken coops and just held herself in a way that drew the eye. She was also one of the nicest people I've met. Plus she's a talented artist, speaks 3 languages and adores animals!

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 03/07/2023 11:20

The girl I sat next to in high school was stunning. She had the longest hair I have ever seen, could sit on it and tuck it under, she had brilliant posture, very very upright . She was also very well developed ( ahem) for her age and attracted a lot of attention, including from a well known Tv actor who could have been her dad ( not RH) whom she met when she was in a pageant at the local fete.

A girl in my college who was of Persian ancestry. She was just mesmerising, huge dark eyes, wide mouth, perfect skin. When I read about Alexander’s wife Roxane, I always imagined her looking like my friend.

Twattle · 03/07/2023 11:23

I saw a young mixed race women in sainsburys who was so beautiful i was looking round like is everyone seeing this. I thought people were going to stop in their tracks.

She was so beautiful it made me feel insignificant and ugly.

shivawn · 03/07/2023 11:27

I honestly can't think of any one person that I thought was so beautiful. I know loads of pretty people but no one person that I could say they're the most beautiful person I've ever seen.

Namechangexyzw · 03/07/2023 11:31

My answer is difficult.

I grew up in a very sheltered environment, on an executive estate. Very few of the mums worked or had had large lives before marriage. The women in our neighbourhood had a good friendship network.

My own DM had a good friend down the road who had moved here from Germany to marry a soldier after WWII. That fell through but she became a fairly successful model, married a City executive and had DC before we met. She was a devoted wife and mother and a really intelligent, lovely woman at the personal level. Best babysitting gig ever! To this day she is the most beautiful woman I have ever met, and although she is old now she still has a smashing figure.

But her father was SS and had gone into hiding before she left Germany. She never saw him again and thought the SS were treated badly by the Allies. She retains vestiges of highly troubling racial prejudices. Her politics are right wing, I mean really right wing.

The combination of these qualities is surprisingly hard to process. Most who know her, including me when young, try to find excuses for her views.

It is interesting that this woman like others mentioned above is also very self contained, though unfailingly courteous to people who approach her. (For some reason she has seldom been harassed by men.)

MissAmbrosia · 03/07/2023 11:35

I met Catherine Zeta Jones once - she was breathtakingly stunning.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 03/07/2023 11:46

My auntie is an ex model. She is/was stunning but that was her job!

It depends on your stages in life and what you do. I’ve known one woman who people said was stunning and beautiful but I always found her quite cold, fake and whatever beauty she had it just seemed superficial.

In my school there were stunners but mostly because they were Catholic and Italian Spanish etc and looked different to Caucasian me.

There was a very pretty blonde Swiss German student who came over to study and stayed with my parents. When she returned a year later I trackless looking at her thinking you’re stunning (I’m straight!) - she had a look of a younger version of Uma Therman. Several other students from Martinique were stunning, a French girl from Rouen stunning too! Fast forward a couple of years when I met the French girl in Rouen, she just looked like any other teenage girl, had cut her lovely long dark hair and was dressed in modern clothes which were quite British looking!

I also think there’s a difference between pretty and beautiful. I used to get “very pretty, you should be a model” a lot (far too short!) but I didn’t see myself as beautiful and certainly wasn’t as a child!

There’s a beautiful DM up the road from us, she is quite beautiful but I think she either works at it or it comes easily to her. Some women are effortlessly beautiful, my best friend’s older sister is tall, blonde, looks good in a sack but is a lovely person. Whenever you see her everyone comments on her beauty. She’s lovely as a person though and that shines through.

LunaNorth · 03/07/2023 11:49

I once went to dinner with a group of people, and there was a woman there I’d never met before.

I’m as straight as they come, but I couldn’t take my eyes off her. Dark hair, perfect tanned skin, big brown eyes and a lucky gap between her teeth - an imperfection which just made the whole effect perfect. I remember she was wearing a light blue bra under a hippy top, and she was just so effortlessly cool. To top it all, she was a midwife, so she even her job made her brilliant.

I thought it was just me, but my friend followed me to the loo and said, ‘Bloody hell, I can’t take my eyes off SexyMidwife!’ 😂😂

Body-wise, a model dressed as Catwoman at Comic Con. Perfect curves, in miniature. Like a completely different species. Made me feel like The Blob.

BlastedPimples · 03/07/2023 11:49

There was a girl at my university who was half Chinese half Welsh. She was stop-in-the-street gorgeous.

However, she got harassed all the time. To an extent where she just felt threatened and upset.

BreviloquentBastard · 03/07/2023 11:53

My sister in law! She's just so striking, very Celtic and ethereal looking, and she has the most incredibly green eyes I've ever seen. She carried herself with such an air of confidence you can't help but do a double take. She's also the sweetest, kindest person ever. My brother definitely hit the jackpot.

ChocBananaSmoothie · 03/07/2023 12:02

Probably my sister. Boy did my mother and everyone else make sure I knew it too. It hasn't hurt our relationship today.

eandz13 · 03/07/2023 12:24

There's a woman that works in a cafe locally to me. I'm completely straight but I find myself gawping at her each time I go in there. She looks a little bit like a Mediterranean version of Lauren Cohen, and she just has the most beautiful smile, face and demeanour. She just seems to glow effortlessly!

LoobyDop · 03/07/2023 12:27

I used to have a colleague who was incredibly beautiful, really breathtaking. I worked closely with her for a few years, and we got on very well, but she was ridiculously preoccupied with her looks, doing things like considering botox she couldn’t afford in her early 30s for wrinkles she didn’t have. She also turned out to be horrendously entitled. Repeatedly got into scary amounts of debt even though she was very well paid, and was happy for her not-very-well-off parents to add to their mortgage to bail her out. Which I really found quite unpleasant, and it coloured the way I saw her. The beauty was definitely only skin deep.

mondaytosunday · 03/07/2023 12:30

There was a young girl in my daughter's year who was amazing looking. Touched by angels! She was such a sweet girl too. No idea where she's at now as her Dad was military so they moved.

Persiana · 03/07/2023 12:38

Yes, truly beautiful friend - black hair, hazel eyes, olive skin, perfect features, huge smile, slim but curvy. On her wedding day I couldn't get over how gorgeous she was

Polly291869 · 03/07/2023 12:42

Queued behind Sophie Ellis Bextor in a London bookshop once.

Hair in a ponytail, no visible make-up, jeans and a t-shirt.

Can confirm that her beautiful pale skin is as luminous and flawless IRL. And her eyes every bit as striking.

She had a real natural vitality/presence about her, despite wrangling two small children!

somethingischasingme · 03/07/2023 12:46

An actress I know (and knew at school) is the most beautiful woman I know and my daughter (genuinely not just bias 😊) is absolutely beautiful- it's like a super power. Mouths open when she walks by.

evtheria · 03/07/2023 12:48

I've known and seen many physically stunning girls and women (lucky me... lol) but one that comes to mind was a young Syrian woman on a bus here in England.

When she got on with her elderly mother the whole bus fell quiet because we were all blatantly gawping at her. Just the loveliest face, quite 'classic' as in something you'd see in an 18th or 19th century painting... and when she smiled it was honestly like seeing a Madonna come to life. You just wanted to gaze at her for ages, but gosh, how awkward daily life must have been for her!

Butterflycircle · 03/07/2023 12:49

Three women spring to mind.

I was about 20 and it was the wife of my boss, she was a physiotherapist and was mid fifties. She was very slim and just very polished she had the most beautiful walk, she seemed to glide. It’s hard to explain but she looked supremely elegant even in her NHS physiotherapist uniform.

My own Mother, she was a model and professional dancer when young and just very attractive. She also had the gift of eloquent and witty speech. She had been seriously ill when a child and had been bed bound for just over a year aged 14 . She spent the time reading extensively. She is the only person who I have ever met who has read the complete works of Shakespeare amongst many other books. She was an amazing conversationalist, sharp as a tack. I am one of her many daughters and whilst people have been complimentary about our looks we are but a glow to her shining light. People including DH say my late Mother looked quite Like Honor Blackman. She had as the youngsters say complete rizz.

I am very distantly related to the other by marriage and have only met her once at the wedding which was in America. She is the Aunt of my nieces DH who she was marrying, she was in her seventies. She had the most striking face truly beautiful and the most amazing cheekbones. She had three daughters who were also exceptionally attractive. But never have I met a woman like her. Her daughter said at her recent wedding the photographer was more interested in photographing her Mother. She looked a little like Grace Kelly who became Princess Grace of Monaco. She also had really luminous eyes, truly mesmerising.
