Do I look better with or without a fringe ?!

Name change for this Obvs.

hair still not very thick after having children so tend to keep it in a bob , although would love longer hair.

I can never decide whether to have a fringe or not… I have a long face ( I think … oblong ?) and a high forehead …. A five head.

fringe would look better with longer hair I think so may try to grow it into a lob… I tend to wear it back with combs or clasps more when have a fringe.

Would love some objective opinions please !

Thanks :)

You are very beautiful and both really suit you so it's hard to say.

ChiefWiggumsBoy · 02/07/2023 21:29

I think you suit both so well it's hard to choose!

The fringe kind of makes you look more gamine and a little French; without a little more sophisticated?

Genuinely though, either really suits your face shape.

standardduck · 02/07/2023 21:35

You suit both!

I can understand your dilemma as I am the same. I always end up regretting getting a fringe as it takes so long to style and keep looking good.

Thiswayorthatway · 02/07/2023 21:35

With fringe 😀

sureigot20 · 02/07/2023 21:37

Without

FringeOrNo · 02/07/2023 22:08

Thank you so much all - I’m going to keep the fringe but let it and my hair grow and little longer , then see x

Totally different pics, but if i try to look just at your hair then I prefer the fringe, but both look great so you could always swap hairstyles when you get bored!

Thereoughttobeclowns · 02/07/2023 22:14

Without. But I really dislike fringes.

nopeasplease · 02/07/2023 22:34

With! Looks amazing

Oh you’re all very kind :) thank you. Seems like “with fringe” is ever so slightly more popular but perhaps haven’t posted a fair comparison of pics x

is anyone else caught a in a constant fringe-no fringe loop?!

I’m team fringe

im in my 50s and had one cut in this year after 25 years without

the comments I have had! My hairdresser was stunned about how it changed me

yes It’s a faff, but I’m told it makes me look younger AND it hides my greying temples so a real win win!

you are absolutely stunning btw. What a beautiful face!

Honestly blown away by the compliments , totally unexpected.

Really made me feel a bit better about myself in my frazzled state.

Fringe suits your face shape, but, a more modern cut of fringe would be better. Think pieces/layers rather than a classic fringe straight across. Centre parting is the trendy parting right now and you can def pull that off with some fringe layers.

Zonder · 02/07/2023 22:52

Without looks more natural.

Viewfrommyhouse · 02/07/2023 22:52

With. Once every year or so I debate growing mine out, but then have it cut back in anyway. Hides my wrinkly forehead, and on the days when just can't be arsed to do my whole head of hair (I have rather a lot), I just wash/dry/straighten my fringe and tie the rest back in a ponytail or up in a bun.

Pip1402 · 02/07/2023 22:52

I agree that both look great but I prefer without.

You have a beautifully smooth forehead to show off. Save the fringe for when/if that changes Wink

martinisforeveryone · 02/07/2023 22:58

I see I’m a bit late, but my choice is very definitely without. This is because the side swept shows your face in balanced proportions, but with a fringe the mid section of your face looks quite dominant. You should assess this yourself with the same makeup and lighting for a fair comparison.

Time40 · 02/07/2023 23:05

With, definitely.

You have a lovely face, OP, and you look to have really great skin. The eyeliner on the fringe photo suits you; I think you should always go with that.

Mintyt · 03/07/2023 07:50

With looks lovely

avocadotofu · 03/07/2023 13:53

They look lovely with both! I slightly prefer without though.

I have recently converted to a curtain fringe which has changed my life! Easy to style with a centre parting or can brush it forward on the days I want that style. If it grows out a bit it still looks good.

HowlingAtTheM00n · 03/07/2023 15:54

Definitely with.
Without you look average and aged. I get the impression of a worn out mother vibes ( in comparison to the other) ( not saying in general ) whereas with the fringe it brings oomph to your facial features and oozes confidence. you look younger and there's just something alot more interesting about your face . It gives your face life. It completely lifts away all the tiredness.

RavingStone · 03/07/2023 15:56

You look gorgeous in both but I err towards fringe. I know you're wearing eye makeup in that pic, but the fringe also frames your eyes beautifully.

JamSandle · 03/07/2023 15:57

I love both!

Mwnci123 · 03/07/2023 16:12
