Do I look better with or without a fringe ?!

Name change for this Obvs.

hair still not very thick after having children so tend to keep it in a bob , although would love longer hair.

I can never decide whether to have a fringe or not… I have a long face ( I think … oblong ?) and a high forehead …. A five head.

fringe would look better with longer hair I think so may try to grow it into a lob… I tend to wear it back with combs or clasps more when have a fringe.

Would love some objective opinions please !

Thanks :)

I like your fringe

I think I am a lone voice. I dont like the fringe, you look younger prettier, softer with the side thing, the right hand side picture

I agree with you.

TheLostNights · 02/07/2023 18:35

With, really suits you.

Harrythehappypig · 02/07/2023 18:43

I like the front too. I had fringe cut this week. Dawned on me in the pictures I preferred I had a fringe. Has been 3 days and not regretting it so far!

eatdrinkandbemerry · 02/07/2023 18:46

Without

Backstreets · 02/07/2023 18:48

Both look nice! But here’s a vote for fringe :)

Christy135 · 02/07/2023 18:57

I think you are beautiful and spoiled with choice. Both look lovely. If I had to choose one I’d go without fringe.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 02/07/2023 19:14

Option #3

A soft, graduated fringe (think they're called Curtain bangs online?) where you have the choice and the cut works with your hair texture - the natural wave would then caress your cheekbone to jawline and complement your bone structure, creating the appearance of greater fullness and movement in your hair.

SatelliteStomper · 02/07/2023 19:18

Fringe looks more modern.

But either is good because frankly with that bone structure you could have pretty much any cut and look fantastic. Your cheekbones are to die for.

MissChanandlerB0NG · 02/07/2023 19:18

With.

But you honestly look great both ways. I just find a fringe quirky and I love them.

TappingTed · 02/07/2023 19:22

With!

ChickenSoupAndLokshen · 02/07/2023 19:24

Both suit you but without is more sophisticated.

Anyfeckinusername · 02/07/2023 19:25

I prefer your without the fringe - your face is more balanced. You have an elegant natural look about you and it more apparent without the fringe, but I agree you can wear either :)

I also yo-yo like you - I can have a fringe or be without. Currently growing one out Smile and it's at the long fringe stage which I also like!

Agree fringes are a faff! I grow it out, then a couple of years later I go oh! Will I??

fireflyloo · 02/07/2023 19:29

Can't decide. I like both equally

oh wow this sounds divine ! And very tempting. See if I could find any photos with me with a kind of curtain bangs type fringe… Can’t find any.

Thank you very much everybody who has very kindly commented so far.

With fringe gives you a much younger look than without. In your shoes I would go for a soft/feathered pixie cut as you absolutely have the features to pull it off and it will give your hair chance to recover (plus it's super easy/low maintenance).

I did exactly this when I was in your position with thin hair. Best thing I ever did! Looked really stylish and I got loads of compliments.

Also, get yourself a silk cap to sleep in, stop using conditioner and use minimal shampoo. It's made the world of difference to my fine hair. I get minimal breakage now and it's the thickest it's ever been.

808Kate1 · 02/07/2023 19:39

Definitely with, you really suit a fringe!

Persiana · 02/07/2023 19:47

They both genuinely suit you. Totally up to you. I could never pull off a fringe so if you like one, it does look lovely on you

WhereAreWeNow · 02/07/2023 20:02

I think you look gorgeous in both pictures but personally I would go for the fringe. I absolutely love fringes but can't have one because my hair is too unruly, fine and frizzy at the front.

Saschka · 02/07/2023 20:03

I think without, but I really don’t like fringes!

Xmasbaby11 · 02/07/2023 20:03

Without - more flattering to your face shape

veryfluffyfluff · 02/07/2023 20:05

In all honesty you pull off both really well.

ThirtyThrillionThreeTrees · 02/07/2023 20:05

I think you are lucky in thst both suit you.

I have a slight preference for without as you look younger and it's a softer look without but I've no idea of the time difference between the pictures.

Power0n · 02/07/2023 20:08

You look younger with a fringe, though it's a bit short, I'd like it to be on your eyebrows.
Without a fringe you look more modern and stylish but older, more tired.
It's a totally different look. The fringe look suits quirky or girly styles but the sharper without fringe looks like you wear suits for work, serious.

Iwantmyoldnameback · 02/07/2023 21:06

I prefer with a fringe but I think it would look better longer.
