Help - can I rescue this hat?

I ordered a straw hat and whoever packed it folded the hat in half and now it is bent out of shape.

Has anyone stuffed a straw hat with tea towels and steamed them back into shape in a hot bathroom or something? Or would I ruin it?

Shall I bother trying to get it back into shape or should I just return it and get a refund? Photos attached later and advise welcomed please.

Hmm well very gentle steaming might work. Personally I would press it on the inside, on a coolish setting, and if that didn’t do the trick I would return it.
Put a tea towel between the iron and the hat when you press it.
