What do you wear for travelling?

Going on holiday soon. It's a 4.5hr flight to a warm country. I'll have 2 small kids with me.

I want something comfy and practical but still stylish. Any tips/recommendations?

Loose, wide leg trousers that stop just above the ankle, short t-shirt that stops just above the trousers, comfortable but smart sandals, a wicker bag for games/snacks/documents

Anything that will stand 2 little ones crawling all over you in a confined space for 5 hours!
NOT a wicker bag 😂😂😂 - a ruck sack so both your hands are free to hold on to the sprogs when they’re trying to run up and down the aisle or climb onto the luggage carousel!

I tend to wear leather leggings and a vest with a shirt over the top….. but for hot countries at the other end I prefer a loose linen trouser.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm put some lovely Cos wide leg trousers and a stripey top in my basket

Thank you!

Wear trainers and socks as flights can get a bit chilly I find. And definitely a hoody or cardy

HappiDaze · 26/06/2023 01:01

Just layer up basically with comfy loose fitting natural fibres

Bamboo everything. (Normally a tube skirt, a tshirt and long cardi. Leggings in my carry on to pop on under the skirt if it's cold.)

So cosy and soft, drapes beautifully, doesn't crease.

People who wear wide leg trousers, how do you avoid the ankles touching the floor when you use the loo?

It’s literally never crossed my mind to worry about this, I have no idea what my trousers do - I’ll wear some tomorrow and report back!

Co-ords are popular now, makes you look well put together

HerMammy · 26/06/2023 19:32

@OkGoogleFoff
Just pull them up at the knee, similar to how you'd hold up a long dress.

Yetisrus · 26/06/2023 20:07

A pair of lightweight patterned trousers, tshirt or vest, cardigan, denim jacket, and converse. I feel the cold and am always bloody freezing on a plane.

Diddykong · 26/06/2023 20:08

Leggings, a t shirt and a hoody. Possibly pyjamas if it's a night flight!

Bathintheshed · 26/06/2023 20:14

Last year I got a lovely coord from Zara, wide leg joggers with a tie waist and a cropped baggy tshirt. It looked very put together and was both comfy and cool. I added a hoodie for the flight and landing in the UK in the early hours.

I've also ordered these
