White swimsuit? Yey or nay?

So I ordered this swimsuit. I really like it. DH said it looks nice but was a bit "look at me". Don't think he meant it in a bad way to be fair just that he was aware I'm not the type to particularly want lots of attention. What do you think? I'm 45 , slim(ish) average height. Olive skin and grey hair. Thanks

I think it’s lovely. If you’re slim. Otherwise, not good.

Be careful you don't have your pubes and nipped on show. I had a lovely white tankini as a teenager that was VERY see through when wet.

I think it’s lovely and would be fab with olive skin.
BUT I have had a few navy and white togs and bikinis and find the white gets discoloured v easily with suncream .(goes yellowy) and I’ve never been able to get that out

I would be too worried about period turning up unexpectedly and suncream making it yellow. I am very fastidious with suncream and go slightly under the edges of my swimsuit with it to be on the safe side. So I stick with dark colours, but I’m sure it will look great on you and no, I don’t think it’s ‘look at me!’

My only concern is this will give you very odd tan lines! But it's lovely otherwise

Ah thanks for your thoughts everyone. I've taken on board the comments about it losing its whiteness and have decided to reluctantly return it. I am definitely keeping the red one though. And since they're on sale I might get the black as well. Love finding a swimsuit with decent bum coverage, cups so you can't see nipples and non-frumpy. This ticks all those boxes. And with the bit at the back it's not going to fall off my shoulders and flash my boobs if I dive in the water. Perfect!!
