Sun cream & makeup

Feel like I should really know the answer to this by my 30s...
But should I be putting my face suncream on and then makeup, or make up and then suncream (with a bit more powder on top I guess?)

I avoid wearing both together as it feels so heavy on my skin, but got some events coming up where we're going to be outside for hours and need to be looking lovely! Don't want my face to be a big greasy sweaty ball!

SPF first. There are plenty of good formulas that it needn't feel thick or heavy or shiny etc.

I try to think of suncream as like using a moisturiser with an spf so make up after

Suncream first. I use the Garnier sp50 then make up on top. Feels fine.

Suncream then makeup. For make up I wait until sunscreen is set (often with the aid of a fan in this weather!) then I lightly apply powder make up. Firstly a loose mica based translucent setting powder over t- zone and the a coloured powder compact to add a little more coverage. If I need concealer I dab on some powder mineral concealer. This is all best without a liquid foundation and doesn't look cakey or settle into lines or look too much as there is not so much for it to stick to. I'm in my 50s and although it does seem to go against modern advice it does work for me. I don't look too matte either especially in the heat! 😁
