Tiktok shop, it’s a scam right?

Finding myself drawn to a jumpsuit and dress. But they are preorder and won’t arrive for a couple of weeks
The shop has a website but the clothes aren’t on it.
they are never turning up are they?

I've seen quite a few tiktok hauls on YouTube, some things are good , some are scams and some are overpriced. So a bit like buying online. Have you checked the companies on trust pilot

I’ve bought makeup and it’s been fine, arrived quickly actually.

I can't speak for all the TikTok items, but my brother has a shop on there for his existing business (so basically just links to sell his normal products which are also in shops), and the hoops he's had to jump through are huge and take a lot of time!

TikTok have a huge business arm and are very proactive in working with the sellers to get the shops up on the app and to be maintained properly, so while they won't be vetting the quality of any products (like eBay etc, they are just an advertising platform), I'd imagine non-receipt of items would have a seller banned pretty quickly. Would be interesting to hear how sellers have found it.
